I think the wide steady cam was mainly to show off how the actors could actually do the fight choreography. Like older martial arts films. It's the opposite of extreme shaky cam where they cut between multiple zoomed shots every 2 seconds. It's great for hiding when actors can't do choreo well, but it got to the point where people couldn't follow action scenes and even caused motion sickness. I'm personally not too bothered by more stable shots. A little more motion could work as long as we can still see what's going on. But they might have also picked a steady shot to convey calmness and control for John and Sofia, instead of motion to convey chaos and confusion. Both were used in the first John Wick where John (calm steady cam) was following Iosef (scared shaky cam) through the dance floor.

The 4th movie has a post credit scene.

The Asian Assassins were to "Soften" John up for their Master... "I'm the only one that gets to kill you, John.". That's also why John didn't kill them either. Winston shooting John was all staged by them (with the Help of the Bowery King) So Winston could get the Hotel Back. The Bullets couldn't Penetrate John's suit so the only worry was the fall with the Homeless assassin waiting to remove "the Body" (in case she went to confirm his Death).

The big guy he fought at the beginning was Boban Marjanovic, a professional NBA player. This was an homage to the Bruce Lee film Game of Death that had NBA player Kareem Abdul-Jabbar in it where he kicked Bruce Lee the same way. The mirror room scene in John Wick 2 was also influenced by a Bruce Lee film called Enter the Dragon. You didnt notice but the fights with the slower camera movements were because those scenes were composed of much longer single shot takes than the normal fight scenes. Most fight scenes in movies are 5 to 10 seconds long then stitched together in the editing room whereas some of theses scenes were 30 or 40 seconds long. Very difficult to choreograph with human actors much less with dogs too. 😀 Even the quick scenes in between the long takes have to match the slower camera movement or it would look weird. I agree with you on the story though. Too many characters and too many story lines for what should be a simple action film. The whole Casablanca trip was pointless since John didnt even do what they asked him to do. But at the end of the day I do like these films. Great action scenes and such style!

Sorry you didn't like the movie, I really enjoyed the part with the dog's, some scenes were a little unbelievable, but I still enjoyed the action, still crazy about those eyes Lera. 🥰💘

You are the ONLY person on Earth to criticize the incredible knife fight scene, and the fight scene with the dogs and Halle Berry. They were a dynamic duo and so were the dogs. And I challenge you to find a better knife/sharp weapons fight scene. Have a drink, smoke some weed, or take a chill pill and relax. Try not to over-analyze and overthink everything so much. It’s not a hard movie to follow.
