材料:
1. 大約 500 克 = 17. 64 oz, 番薯
2. 10 克 = 0. 35 oz, 薑
3. 600 ml = 20. 30 fl oz, 水
4. 75 克 = 2. 65 oz, 片糖
Ingredients:

4. 75 grams = 2. 65 oz, brown sugar

just made it with your recipe, I didn't have brown sugar so I just used yellow rock sugar (冰糖) and my husband just loves it! :) he kept walking around the kitchen when he smell the ginger :) I'm so happy, thanks to you now I can cook him his Cantonese food :)

Hi evereyone, chinese love to eat tong sui which litterally means suger water. It actually is more like a sweet soup or syrup that can be made of many different things. In this video I used sweet potatos to make tong sui. I hope you will try it and like the taste. Best regards maria ^^

I know they have it in Asian markets. Not sure with general markets. XD I've never been to Germany so I wouldn't know if they have it.
It is common in South East Asia to use it. Pandanus amaryllifolius The last time is was added when we have Tong Yuen. Lunar Year is near.

I'm not a cook, but I really want to try making this. Where do I get Washed Brown Sugar from. It's hard to find. Could I just use 75 grams of regular brown sugar instead of washed brown sugar? The same outcome should still happen if the brown sugar is not washed right?

Hi, thank you for trying my recipe. Yes, you can use regular brown sugar. The reason I washed the brown sugar because I don't know how long it was without packaging. Happy Chinese New Year to you and your Family :)
