love that gorgeous blouse ! on the comment of frogging mohair- as a person who has frogged an entire sweater made with two strands of it, I recommend leaving it on the freezer overnight, next morning it will be SO MUCH EASIER. And once you reach the point where you can´t unravel anymore, freezer again, lol. I think those spaces when doing increases are normal (it happens to me because loose knitter!) but I would recommend doing lifted increases, the difference is insanely good!

I love the honeycomb brioche vest knitting plan 😍 I've been eyeing the lonely leftovers vest for my acrylic stash, but that brioche vest is soooo lovely too!

Great episode again! And I absolutely love your petiteknit bucket bag in that bright fun colour ❤ I also struggled with honeycomb first and had to frog everything several times as I didn't get the hang of correcting mistakes 😅 My solution: 1. writing down row by row the steps and visualising the staggered pattern 2. practicing with the help of a swatch with a chained + non-fluffy yarn, big needle size and a row counter (very important at the beginning!) 3. "dropping stitches" or "making mistakes" but continuing knitting 4. correcting mistakes by knowing where I was (row counter) with help of my visualized scheme Good luck with your vest! 🤞🏻

Thanks for sharing! Practicing with a non fluffy yarn and a big needle size is a great idea to understand how the stitch is constructed

I had to chuckle at your Knit City garment. I always knit a vacation knit taylored to the weather we travel to. Seems to add to the excitement of the trip! You are a great and adventurous knitter!

I started knitting last June and went to knit city in Vancouver in sept. Nearly everyone was wearing something they knit! I’ll be ready next time they come back with a knit city garment!! Looking forward to seeing progress on your vest 😊

I just finished a large gauge single strand mohair sweater. It is fairly easy to tighten up the increase gaps later without it looking bad. I don't think you need to frog back. Although it was a different shoulder construction. But it should still work.

Good to know! I think it’s looking better after I tried to tighten the gaps with my needle. I’m sure blocking will improve it too ☺️

For the mohair sweater - it wouldn't eat up too much yarn to duplicate stitch over the shoulder increase sections. If you did cut out some of the yarn from when you were frogging, you can try using that to duplicate stitch. Putting mohair in the freezer before pulling apart helps when you frog - the hairs snap instead of tangling together. Since you don't have to worry about fuzz integrity of the scraps, you can just cut the fuzz knots apart and use the silk core thread to close up some of the gapping at the shoulders.

Oooo duplicate stitch is so smart - thanks for the suggestion! Unfortunately I did not save the yarn that I frogged 🥲 but I’ll save enough of the remaining mohair to try it at the end

Your socks are looking great! I have just tackled gloves and my next projects are socks and a sweater with my goal of making my family socks by Christmas time! Mine will be the practice ones first though so that theirs are in the best possible shape :) My hands also cramp when I use small circulars and I have noticed that the cramping happens because I tend to grip the needles with my left-hand pinky and ring fingers. I have wound up only knitting with the small circulars for shorter periods of time to compensate, but it's not ideal! Any solutions are appreciated :)

Thank you ☺️ and gloves are an impressive feat - so many tiny circumferences haha! I have found it very uncomfortable to knit continental on small circulars so I have been knitting English style when working with them

I love the colours for your wave sweater! But to me there seems to be a lot of puckering…. I’d give it a little steam block to see if that’s enough to sort it out. Columns are difficult in terms of tension.

Thank you for pointing that out - so helpful to hear as a newbie colourwork knitter! I’ve just blocked the sweater so hopefully the puckering will even out

Where did you get the small circulars? I feel like knitting on double pointed needles takes me forever

I bought mine from a seller on eBay! They’re the addi sock wonder needles where one of the needles is longer which I have been enjoying more than the chiaogoo 9” circulars
