Hi, love your Lake pullover and thank you for sharing how it was to knit. I have had my eye on it and yours is lovely. For the socks I find it best to have some negative to zero ease, since they will grow a bit with wearing. I normally try on the sock and when it reaches the bone of my big toe or just before my toe cleavage is a great place to start the decrease. Also, you might want to check out Summer Lee’s KZread or her new book. She really explains with measurements and sizing what to look for. For the sock you might also consider dropping down a needle size for the area that is loose. I usually knit the cuff and foot on a us 1 and my leg a larger size. Tighter socks for the foot will wear a bit better.

The foot of your sock will be the right length if you knit it to the length of the sock wearer's hand from the wrist (right where it meets your palm) to the tip of your middle finger

Love the wooldreamers yarn! I was about to choose the saona for a summer project, maybe I'm re-thinking this because I wanted it to be a little less warm than my merino tops 👀

Re sock knitting, most patterns tell you how long the toe will measure. Try on the sock and use a ruler to see where the toe will begin and how long you have to knit the foot. Typically my knitted toe is for instance 4,5 cm. Socks should be tightfitting, both in width and length, otherwise they will bunch up in your shoes. I have narrow feet and knit tightly and use 60 sts on 2,5 mm. For my friends I knit 60 sts on 2,75 mm and for husband 64 sts on 2,75. It’s better to have more sts and a smaller needles size for a tight and durable fabric, rather than fewer sts on larger needles, which will make a thin fabric that will easily get holes. I hope you get as addicted to sock knitting as I have become!!! 😂❤

True! Maybe I’ll have to size down to 2.0 mm and keep the 64 stitch count as these do fit a bit loose

An easy way to check how long to knit the foot is to try it on, and keep knitting until it hits the pinky toe nail :) Never failed me yet

I decrease my socks when the 'leg' touches the end of my little toe (I have greek toes, so my 'second to big toe' is longer than my big toe) and then I knit 5 rounds, and then decrease untill I have half the total stitches every other round until I kitchener stitch! This gives me my perfect size socks
