If you want suspension like what I've got on the S2K, Evo, and all of the rest of my cars, Fortune Auto is offering 5% on a bunch of their models with the code GEARS, along with free shipping with the code FREESHIP. They want to do something for our fans, and we're huge fans of them, so if you want to save like $200 on a set of 510s, hit them up!

for the idle control/compensation for the A/C , you can get the old school diaphragms (the ones that are used with carburetors) that works with engine vacuum, to pull a little bit the throttle lever (they are adjustable)

@@falkor3865 they don't need a lot of vacuum, and during idle is where most of the vacuum occurs I mean is worth trying for an easy fix. They use a little bypass solenoid to activate the diaphragm only when the ac is on, so you can control it with the haltech

He had me at "and we're at Starbucks", amazing. The engine is lookin fantastic too! Great stuff!
7:14 depending on how many vacuum ports you have on your ITB's you can run a line from each throttle body into a collector and then an old-school bleeder style Idle air control valve which almost all stand-alone ECU's support. It basically creates a controlled vacuum leak to speed up or slow engine idle (also good for de-acceleration and popping conditions)
@michaelblacktree
Жыл бұрын
I actually did this with a street driven ITB motor. It worked great. BTW you can also get your MAP signal and brake booster vacuum from the vacuum collector.
@all-flat-engines
Жыл бұрын
@@michaelblacktree Thats a good point too, you can use a separate vacuum collector for your MAP which helps calm down some of the vacuum reference flutter you see on ITB's + aggressive cams. Helps to get a steady reading as each Throttle body pulses its intake cycle. (helps for daily driven ITB's)
@michaelblacktree
Жыл бұрын
Yeah it smooths out the pressure pulses. But it's still responsive enough to give good readings.

Loved the choice of music in this video whoever chooses the music for the videos is always keeping it fresh with new genres/styles
amazing. love to see all the work going into such a project. not the normalized b roll builds. love the twice a week schedule too, i used to watch older longer videos in 2 sessions!
Needless to say we’re gonna need a road trip with the k-swap rx7 when they’re both sorted
Thanks for the tease for the week. I really appreciate it 🤯 Keep on keeping 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Fantastic content guys! Really loving the longer episodes
I comment every week that I love to see the MR2 content, but honestly I'll take the S10K build any day too. Keep it up guys!
I live for these build series. I cannot wait to hear that thing rev at 10K
I love watching your videos with Ronnie building engines. The older I get the more I appreciate my stock low RPM torque, K24 grocery getter. Just the thing for surprising the German sports cars at the stop lights. Watching Ronnie doing one-stop shop builds brings a smile to face every time. Great video!
All this work to put a huge smile on your face with great ITB noises. So worth it
Awesome! Glad we got to hear her fire up on this episode! Cant wait till the next one!

Cool music this video Last video's music was really good! I love the music that I can jam along to the build with XD
I learned about ITBs a few months ago, and now I am really really excited to see how this is going to drive, to live with, etc. One of the most elegant modifications one can do to a car, in my opinion.
I love your teams Videos and how down to earth they are. Wild builds can be fun, but these "everyman's" builds are really entertaining.
I can’t wait for the next episode. Thank you!
I've had owned an s2k with a very similar setup. Hands down the most fun car I've ever had. Can't wait to see you smile down the road

This engine sounds beautifull!!!
the editing and music on this video are seriously on point
Yes!! On a Wednesday with a new video, thank you!!!
This series is amazing and agonising. Now the wait begins all over again for the next episode.
Those itb’s are so sick!!!
I have an f20c in my Corolla, It revs to 10,600, and makes 192kw atw (257hp). Currently has 110,000km's on the engine and still going strong. I run ITB's. 145mm trumpets in an inclosed box, with a 4.5" feed to an airbox and a 5" feed to the front bar. It runs 13.2:1 comp, forged internals, 1mm oversized valves and custom exhaust manifold into a 3.5" exhaust, dropping down to a 3" rear and 3" straight through muffler. Very quick little car, weighing in at 1050kg. Timing well is all you need for idle, i can jump off the clutch at the lights with no throttle and the car will idle up and drive.
I'm surprised nobody was talking about the music( I think it's a Sitar). Really neat choice for music, loved it!
Music selection for this one is awesome.
Man I hope they do another S10K video back to back. This was great not having to wait 2 months for one of these :D
Love my FA coilovers man great choice!!
Love your work
All those sensor plug clips *chefs kiss*
And damn that engine sounds so good!!!
Andy is the man. Really cool to see him work.
If you guys put a vacuum port on each intake runner, and run a vacuum hose into a common vacuum manifold, you can put an IAC valve on that vacuum manifold to do fine idle control and AC idle boost. Its also a good place to put a MAP sensor. I have typically seen IAT sensor strapped in front of one of the trumpets, probably about the best you can do.
CANT WAIT TO SEE THE OUTPUT🤙🍻
Dude that editing! 🙏🏻
That teaser at the end. WWAAAHHHHHH
Idle control with ITBs is do-able, if your ECU can support an old school ICV. Drill a port in each intake runner, and run them to a vacuum manifold. Then you can attach an ICV to the vacuum manifold. It's also a convenient place for your MAP sensor and brake vacuum line. I had to do that with a street driven ITB motor, ironically.
Having a tiring day when Gears and Gasoline upload it made my day
Andy's sense of humor is unmatched
Amazing video
Man sounds so good!
EFI hardware sells a device that will let you convert the ITBs to dbw activation. It's really nice. A few people use it on the BEAMS 3SGE engine (formula 3). Driftworks used it on their Lamborghini.
Man I love this channel!
DAMNNNN THE ITBS ARE SCREAMING!!!!
Beautiful build and I am excited to see where it goes. My guess is to the dyno from the teaser video. But then I am guessing racing?
Amazing as always ❤
Clicking in the wiring harness was so satisfying
yessssss 20 min video!!!!😍😍😍😍😍
the outro is hilarious!
The music in this video is just *chef's kiss*
YESSS. I LOVE THIS SERIESSS
Me with my E46 M3: *Happy ITB Noises*
If I may make a suggestion, ITBs can still be housed in an airbox/intake manifold with a big air intake tube. It's not gonna restrict the air flow, it may even streamline it. That's how the E46 M3 CSL gets its air intake. Trust me, I'm a mechanical engineering specializing in fluid and thermal sciences.
Yeah those sphericals will get a bit harsh if you just want a fun street cruiser. If/when you do swap back to rubber I'd recommend origin fab offset upper bushings for front to help get more camber and keep a spherical bushing in the front compliance bushing spot (the big inner one). It's common for the Oem and aftermarket rubber ones to fail after a bit
oh man i can tell that the next road trip is gonna be with the s2000
For the filing of the car you could just put a hold in the bottom of the itb and thread it and run some hose from there to a external idle valve
You know, Tall Ben... "The S10k" implies a 10 liter displacement s2000 based on Honda's logic, and I'm absolutely here for it.
Love it!
Nice chapter names
ITS THE MANUAL VIDEO GUY!!!!!!!
could drill out the runner behind the throttle blades and install a IAC valve in each runner. then program the ECU to operate the duty cycle to maintain the desire rpm, option b drill and plumb a 1/2 line between all the ITBS and connect a single IAC valve to the end of the line
Cirquit Garage wide bodykit would look nice on this S2000.
Awesome, you got it fired up! What ended up being the issue?
Didn’t miss the only fan joke! 👌
this is everything I have ever wanted in an engine, so much fun, great work !!!

Intro was great
ASM continues to deliver on these builds.
I'll admit, I wasn't surprised when Andy mentioned the exhaust header after seeing some exhaust suit above the engine bay after the initial fire up.
you can use a stock IACV!, just create a vacuum block/ manifold running to all 4 runners post throttle bodies and mount the iacv port to that, there are also remote iacv plates you could use...
Love the build lads, the s2000 is iconic the only thing that gets me is you had the engine out of the car, why didn't you get the engine bay sprayed. All those excellent new shiny parts and a tired rusty-looking engine bay.
My coilovers have that hex key clamp style too…enough road use they gum up and have to hammer em around too
When It blows up, play rage your dream
Should build an air box for the ITB's especially sense it will be street driven. It wont be as cool when you open your hood, but it will allow you to get cold air from out of the engine bay. But i'm sure you know this already.

I’m 100% all here for replacing the bushings. It’s a street car. Make it comfortable and exactly how you want it to feel you already spend enough time in track cars make a car you’ll enjoy
