Dang just bought the other one last night. Oh well it will be fine. Nice piece sir!
Already bought one that'll likely be featured on my channel, but would have been nice to see the metal you bent. That stuff looked beefy.
It will bend on 1 pass 70 degrees. You need to do three passes for 180. This is the cat's ass as far as conversions go. I highly recommend this for anyone that has the JD2 model 32 and others that this can fit.
You have some great products! I can't wrap my head around this though. These type rams are built to press from the bottom plate. Isn't it possible for it to blow apart at the base of the outer casing your clamping to? It's only a thin walled threaded shell screwed into a cast steel plate.

gilley76 - It's an interesting question. All of the ram's components and sub-assemblies (including the base) have to be made to contain the full rated pressure with a considerable safety margin. As long as the materials and workmanship are up to spec, I wouldn't be the least concerned with a high-quality ram. Harbor Freight hydraulics? Well, you can make up your own mind. If anything, though, the SWAG Offroad clamp should help the strength and stability of the ram. It entirely eliminates twisting and bending stresses on the tube, plus the clamp approach reinforces the tubing at the top of the ram, theoretically anyway. In a poorly-made ram of this type, I suppose it's possible that a weld defect at the base could be somewhat protected from a blowout when used with the base on a hard surface. Catastrophic failures do occur for a variety of reasons, but they're not common and the usage scenario we're talking about is pretty mechanically constrained. "Normal" Harbor Freight failure issues are much more likely ... leakage, fittings issues, etc. I'd be a lot happier with say, an Enerpac ram in this scenario - you know, at 2x the price of the bender itself - but that sort of misses the point.
so did you ever start selling this version? i still only see the old version.
I bought the swag conversion kit and bought the harbor freight Ram that’s recommended. I saw reading the Ram instructions and it said do not use it horizontally. The Ram works great upright but when I put it horizontally it’ll only bend a tube to 20 degrees. Maybe needs more fluid. I’ve pulled the Ram off 4 times now and bled it and every time I’m having the same issue. Is there a easy fix that I’m doing wrong

Did you ever get it figured out?

@@FingerJam12 yes. Put the Ram on its side and fill it with hydraulic fluid all the way to top of the little fill hole. It was running out of fluid when it was on its side. Filling till its at the very top when on its side did the trick
So it will not work on the eastwood tubing bender
If I come to bend can I get a discount?
oui ça t'une trè bonne outils a travaille avec surtou nous voulons ça an Afrique
what air ram fits this?

We recommend Valley's 8 ton long ram, as Harbor Freight has discontinued theirs. A link has been provided below. www.ebay.com/itm/8-TON-AIR-AND-HYDRAULIC-LONG-RAM-BOTTLE-JACK-ENGINE-HOIST-CHERRY-PICKER-TOOLS/350829123238?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649
