Now that this little side series is pretty much over, I'd be open to possibly doing another one. Whether I film it is based on a few factors, but I'm curious what else is out there! Also, this isn't the last you'll see of the SW20. We are working on special video with it soon.

This whole video was a great reminder of just how great SW20s look. Badass swap and I'm stoked to see he's got it running again. Based on my impressions of my AW11 so far, I feel like these cars are better suited N/A with revvy motors over forced induction.

An AW11 is a badass driver's car. I drove a '98 SW20 Beams and a supercharged AW11 back to back. Both are awesome cars.

Very good video, congratulations on finishing the BEAMS. I started my SW20 RedTop swap in April 2021, but doing a restoration. I've been stripping the rusty hardware and replateing over the summer. I plan on continuing the swap next month. After the MR2 I'm off to finish my '73 Fiat 850 I started with my son when he was 15. It was my car when I was 18, my first love of sports cars.

It sounds amazing! And the clutch seems to be working flawlessly :)

I didn't know wich engine I would put in my sw20 but now it's clear. Beams red top in a red sw20 👌🤷

5:14 I bought a 1991 mercury capri as a daily the other day from bellingham. I drove this exact road lol. Its a lot prettier in the summer.

ya they do. the k20 sound very raspy. and these 3sge beams sound better than a b18 when revved to 8k (with standalone ecu)

ouch you got a bare engine. no original beams air box or the helical lsd. aghh. but you have a nice pheonix power header and sard air intake filter. ive been building my celica SS-III for 5 years now. still undone...

Speedo could be because it’s electronic if it’s newer than 93. And isn’t compatible with the older mechanical Speedo on the trans , or vise versa Trans could be electronic speed sensor , while the Speedo cluster is mechanical. Source , my sw20 92 swap - gen 3 with an s54 electronic Speedo
