Get it I just got one and I am very impressed with it. I had a sv 650 a gsxr 750 and sv 1000 and this is the bedt of them all in my opinion

I'm pretty sure the styling is meant to be inspired more by the Katana. Note how the top edge of each of the lights rises above the sides of the headlight cowl like the orig. did.

Good review Ricky, I do fancy a 4 cylinder at some point having had several boxers, I'll have to try one of these when it's time to change.

I currently have a K6 GSXR and love the look, sound, power, handling, and brakes; but the aggressive riding position becomes bothersome after more than a few hours of riding. I believe this would be a nice upgrade for me.

The performance of the bike will certainly put a big smile on your face! Your joints will thank you for the more upright riding position too 😊 Switching to a naked bike might be tough in the beginning though if you're used to being behind a fairing...

Good review mate. Only 11k for this new, first service £120, I'm not a dealer, I bought one in October. I'm 52, and had gixxer 750s and a busa, built a fighter so been there done that and this sits bang on in the " daily use, plenty of poke, loads of fun". Bikes to me are blue collar, and suzuki make bikes for blue-collar folk aka bikers. I think this is forgotten sometimes what with ducati exotica. But etc look at who rules racing...certainly not ducati, its all japanese. I'll subscribe

Thanks for your comment and for subscribing Gary, I hope I can keep you! Yes this bike is easily one of Suzuki's best efforts of recent years. And it's a great price... you do have a good point about the more exotic bikes, the prices are getting silly now!

Hi Rikki, Slight mistake in the bike specs listed at about the10.35 mark. Fuel tank holds 19L not 9L as specified. Enjoyed the vid and this bike is definitely on my short list. Just waiting until they arrive in Australia so I can have look in person. Cheers

The biggest problem - snatchy throttle solved. That is very good. I like your way of explaining "don't get me wrong...", yeah it pulls hard. :) Great ride and review Rikky. Like always. Do you plan to ride also the GT model?

I must have missed when you talk about the front end lights, how are they at night?

I do like these although like you they are very KTM 'esk and this would be the only thing I am not so keen on very front heavy lookin I prefer the look of the new GT touring version with the fairing ..good one : )

The new GSX S 1000 has had good reviews but apparently lacks a bit of fizz. However the touring version has had rave reviews. I think the old instrumentation on the GSX S 750, SV 650 and old GSX S 1000 was far better than this new incarnation IMO. Too busy and not bright enough. I think it is also fitted to the new Katana. Much prefer your longer videos. Thanks for uploading .

I think that this bike has plenty of fizz! I hope to get a go on the GT next year too. And I agree about the instruments - not a good direction to go in really... I imagine the naked version and the Katana will get the GT instruments next year (I hope so anyway!) I'm glad to be able to upload a longer video again, thanks for your kind words 😊

I have the older dash on my SV650 and I perfectly like it. :) Have to see the one of the GT model, but for now, have to agree with you. Drop by. :)

Yeah my remapped 2019 special edition would be very difficult to part with. For me Suzuki have cheapened the new one by way of surface finishes. 153 at the wheel, goes strong from 4K takes off at 6 and warp speed is engaged at 8 , lol.

That's an interesting point about the finish, something I did not pick up on perhaps becasue I didn't spend a long time with it. One day I'd love to be able to make a multi-day test! Your bike sounds like a lovely bit of kit 👍

@@RikkyTang yeah she is thanks. An example of finishes would be the yokes, rear subframe, front mudguard and graphics. Seen a few wrapped ones in different styles and totally changes the look, even improves the headlight lol.

MT10 goes from the get-go, 6k rpm front wheel begins to lift, 8k rpm full power is unleashed! Keep that throttle open and with the quickshifter you slam up to 2nd, 3rd, and 4th gear power wheeling the whole time. Look down at the dash and you are way beyond triple digit speeds! 🤯

Would you say it rides faster than a MT09 ?

if the road is long enough, yes the Suzuki will be faster than an MT09 (although I've only ridden an XSR900 recently, not an MT09). However I'd say the MT09 will most likely feel lighter and have a stronger feeling midrange... I'd think it would be more fun to ride than the Suzuki. But it all depends on what you are looking for from a bike 👍

@@RikkyTang well nobody buys a bike cause it feel slow so i want the power feeling but as well something to drive for a sunday out with the wife and commute to work..i’ve seen many video and while the mt seems fun to drive as well i’ve seen people say for the same reason you almost won’t be able to enjoy a ride..it seems like it won’t dtay down..

for a cruise control u need electronic throttle. $$, and wanna talk about 'snatchy". want cruise ctrl?. 9.99 Cramp Buster. dont overlook Suzuki, theyre fast, heard a gixxer?, Hayabusaaaa?. this things a value 'Beast'.

Big twins pull like a train and kick like a mule. they have bags of character too. Big fours are totally characterless and buzzy. I'd honestly go for my Sv650a over the GSXS.

I have a 2021 SV650X and just got a 2023 GSX S1000 ( Keeping the SV) They both have there pro and con . I got to give you that , the SV got a lot of character and is a blast to ride but for 600 KM a day or more I take the GSX . 75 HP vs 150 on highway is a no brainer for me.

I actually like how it looks compared to the Yamaha and everything else. Especially once you get rid of that rear plate holder and a few other touch ups.
