That has been about the best use of force yet by police, it was not over kill and well strategized. They did not just mag dump him and actually tried to take him into custody. Very different then we have been used to seeing. I often wonder though, where is the hand to hand combat training, because i have been trained to disarm a person coming at me with a knife. I used to practice this type of situation 3 times a week. Running at me with a knife would end up with a hip toss and arm restraint with worse case being a torn dislocated shoulder to the subject by chicken wing. He would defiantly be dropping the knife. I just wonder why this type of training is not implemented as it is well documented in other parts of the world to work. I wonder if it is because of Policing while Afraid.

I moved here back in '02 and it was always like that. They were where the druggies and such would go. City thought demolishing many of them and trying to build it up like places in the rest of the metroplex would make it better. Aesthetically, it looks good, but the problem they were trying to get rid of just spread out more instead. On top of the regular problems it created with traffic being backed up on game days, coupled with the train going by making it even more of a nightmare. You know it's bad when traffic is backed up all the way down to your suburban neighborhood all the way up Browning. this is just something i have to share because it was so damn funny. I was working at Walmart, which is right across the street from the stadium. On the outer side of the stadium, facing the store is a massive screen for tailgaters to watch the game in the parking lot. It was facing the damn road, and Jerry Jones was forced to stop having it turned on because idiots on the road would get into accidents because they'd be watching the screen instead of watching the road. Watching 3 cars crash into each other because they were all watching the same thing was just too hilarious.

Hey donut I just turned 20 and was wondering if you could do a video about what to learn/ prepare for the police academy. Love you videos ❤
“Ran by genderless college students” 😂😂😂😂 LMAOOOOOOOO
These realities remind us how important it is to continue supporting our police force. They are always in the front line dealing with these dangerous encounters.

Yeah, shooting an unarmed guy is really dangerous. Sure, the guy is an idiot, and prob high. Does that warrant a death sentence, right on the spot? Nah, kinda doesnt.

@@incognito3402 He was armed with a knife and charged them. Are the cops supposed to let him stab them? To make it fair? Go back inside, outside is too tough for you today
@incognito3402
Ай бұрын
@@connorantic It seems its too tough for you, youd just go out and start blasting, it seems, anyone that might look like a threat. And, yes, police should let him at least attempt an attack, if its a knife situation. Gun is obviously different. Police has so much leeway. First, they are many, he is one. If he charges you specifically, an officer covering you can shoot. Secondly, he has a pocket knife. Youd be hard pressed to do any real damage with it. They are all armed and ready to go. Lastly, police has their pay adjusted for risk, if they take away the risk by just blasting thru every single situation that carries any, then the pay isnt justified. They get all kinds of benefits because of the risk, if you cant accept the risk of a pocket knife, dont be a cop.
@Camou.
Ай бұрын
@@incognito3402you have to be joking they gave him multiple chances to drop the knife and he still attempted to charge at them even after falling over Also any knife can easily kill a person depending on where its stabbed like the neck but regardless no officer should have to get seriously injured just to potentially save an uncooperative suspect
I live in Arlington, I am going to say, I am proud to see that clean and clear of a police response.
As someone who is watching this a month after upload that “watching your best freind win congress” didn’t sit well lmao
4:52 - that's a Spyderco Tenacious! Very nice and handy EDC knife.

i like how every other youtuber i watch has been sponsored by Raycon and saying "they are the best selling earbuds on the market" i am yet to have seen a pair in person XD
That was incredibly gracious of the Arlington Police to try and allow that man to keep his life despite repeatedly being not only a threat to life and great bodily harm to the officers, but also as a fleeing suspect who has committed a felony with a deadly weapon and represents an imminent danger to the public. He could have been mag dumped on the initial charge, he could have been mag dumped when he got back up with the knife in his hand, he could have been mag dumped at anytime when he was running away. I dont know if this paitence, poise, and mercy should be applauded. Everytime officers lawfully and properly use deadly force to neutralize a threat it can be compared to this incident and those like it. For example, the first video the suspecthad already used deadly force against the officers, then fell out of his car, charged officers with the knife and the imminent threat to life or great bodily harm was neutralized. Biased people see the second outcome and use it to criticize the first, saying the officers should have shot him once like the Arlington officers and see how he responded before firing again.

Yeah, and what do you know, he was black. And the guy in the first clip was... looks white. Weird. Almost as if race isn't a factor. (most of the time) Heck even in the first clip they didn't absolutely mag dump the guy, they definitely still had bullets left. Second one was clearly initially suicide by cop but clearly after getting hit once he realized "of fuck bullets hurt and maybe I don't want to die like that" so instead of just giving up he decides to run, then I guess decided to give it another go, got shot again and the gold fish brain realized once again "oh fuck bullets hurt and maybe I don't want to die like that," so he ran again... the fuck? Dude just got unlucky and tried suicide by cop vs a PD that actually has restraint when it comes to shooting "dangerous" suspects.
@orionsimerl6539
Ай бұрын
@@ShiningDarknes We also know that race isn't a factor in the use of deadly force statistically. Both races have deadly force used against them with just about the same frequency that they commit crimes. The observed year was 2018, chosen based on the year for which biased researchers made false assertions that black people were more than twice as likely to be shot by law enforcement than white people. The claim was black people represented 12 percent of the population but 25 percent of police shootings. That year black people committed 26 percent of crimes, and white people committed 55.5 percent of crimes and represented 54 percent of police shootings.
