I got pulled over by traffic cops on our 2,500 mile road trip. Oddly I complied to every instruction of the Police officer, my wife also exited the vehicle as we didn't know where in the rental the documents the officers wanted. They found them in the glovebox, which we should have realised. Apparently there had been an armed robbery near by and they took off in a black SUV. The officer that stopped us said that they had to stop us but as we were super compliant, it was obvious we weren't who they looking for. They wished us well and we carried on our merry way.

Officers fired 79 times back after Dexter fired first, fired 17 times, and shot an officer. Dexter graduated 7 years ago but that didn’t stop the media from showing him in his cap and gown. They also haven’t reported that Dexter was shot in 2021 by his uncle after attacking family members armed with a knife. Poor Dexter had a pending felony retail theft and aggravated UUW case pending. Last thing he needed was a seatbelt ticket.

It wasn't just one gun charge, he'd been arrested 11 previous times for illegal possession of firearms/ altered serial numbers and in this instance he actually fired 11 shots with the first wounding the officer on the front passenger side, and all 11 spent cases as well as the gun were found in the vehicle, but of course cue, the crying, fainting relatives, insisting " he was a good boy! He didn't have no gun! Etc etc ad nauseum

@@DaxOrien Second City Cop blog posted some of the COPA documents that state how many rounds the officers fired. Those totals don't add up to 96, so it implies the number the suspect fired. No mention about were the gun was or the spent casings on the blog.

​@@BasicallyBasic990that really only works for dropping charges. U actually don't need probable cause to be stopped, only reasonable suspicionna crime has occurred. Sometimes a nexus is created through plain view. Ie drunk driver, gun on seat, or an arm hanging out a trunk with blood. Jump out cops don't stop you for a seatbealt. Probably a Wahl stop. Probably had search terms for being on probation or parole for prior charges. Maybe, or.maybe not. We only get a snippet of the picture 2d in a 3d world sort of speak. Context is everything. As the title all over is super misleading.

It's hard to stay calm right before a shootout if you've never been in that situation before. Officers did well, but the knowledge and wisdom they will hopefully continue their careers with, is priceless.

And it just me pisses off that all those disgusting hypocrites try to leave out the fact that the officer who was shot is clearly black, but they don't care. To paraphrase what one very smart black man said several years ago "Why is it? Why is it, that a black man's life is only valuable when the police do something? Explain that to me. Because when we (black people) do it, it's just another negro off the street!"

This is why you always, always, always, ALWAYS wait for the full details. The worst thing you can do is rush to judgement. Also, it is sickening when people say "my baby" when that "baby" of theirs just shot someone, ran someone over, murdered someone in cold blood, etc.... What about the other "baby" that was injured or died because of "your" baby's actions? Hell, the parent that raised me said point blank, "I love you with all my heart, but if you were to commit a crime that killed someone, I would leave you in jail." I didn't blame my parent. I would expect it. There comes time where people roll the dice and have to live with the consequences.

And while because of his age he is absolutely responsible for his own actions there is no doubt that the lack of a dad is a HUGE part of the origin story for this type of behavior. It's by far the number one reason the hoods, trailer parks, rural south, Appalachia are packed with lost people who end up half literate and in jail or dead like this.

Donut, there was a shooting in Florida by Grady Judd's deputies where a cop killer was STS when he fired at the swat team after a manhunt. Grady said even his own mother wouldn't recognize him. A reporter asked why he was shot so many times. Sheriff Judd replied he'd have been shot more but the deputies ran out of ammo. We need more Sheriff Judds in this country.

He already discussed that interview during another incident in which a suspect shot at officers, flanked them and struck them with both bullets and one with a physcial strike from butt of the rifle he had.. before he was magdumped by the cop's partner. Grady made a funny comment about that one too (I believe he was answering "cus evil cannot be dead enough" to why they had shot him so many times.)
