For those commenting on the seatbelt issue, policy requires Officers to keep them on until the vehicle is in park. The Sgt. Valle (pronounced Vuy-a) is a buddy of mine.. the bullet that hit his right arm actually shattered his Ulna bone in his forearm. Instinctively he tried to put the car in park but couldn’t because of the shattered bone. He went full Mongo and was able to put the car in park, draw his weapon and fire at the suspect. In the video if you look carefully, after he shoots the suspect and he runs away, Sgt. Valle’s gun falls out of his hand onto the ground. He’s still recovering and doing fine.

I think it's time for the legal system to be held accountable for negligence. A criminal commits a crime they are previously charged with but it was dropped or lowered, the DA and or Judge needs to be held accountable. These 3,4 even 5 time repeat offenders are getting grossly out of hand.

Exactly - we had a OPP officer who just passed and was out on his own for the first time going to a call about a car disabled I believe. Man and woman didn’t give him a chance when he was shot and killed. 2018 he was in trouble and permanently banned from having a gun. 2021 he was arrested on firearms and assaulting a peace officer. Out on bail - house confinement but missed his court date. They had a warrant out for him - should have been looking harder for him. Bail and consequences are a joke at times. Interesting idea but one problem I see with it is that it would make judges more likely to imprison innocent civilians even when the evidence is negligible at best. I agree that there should be some type of consequence (perhaps after repeated offenses) but they shouldn’t be so extreme that a judge or DA would be more willing to make someone guilty than innocent. Maybe your system could be based on the percentage of incorrect judgments they have made or any type of negligence (repeated or grave) on their part.

Judges should be liable if they dismiss cases like this.

We need to tighten the laws they are applying. However suggesting they should be liable is dangerous. It undermines the concept that they should judge without fear and favour. It gives them a personal stake in the matter outcome and therefore a conflict of interest. We can remove incompetent judges and we can replace them with competent judges already. We can change the weak bail laws they are applying if need be. Politicians are responsible for this.

@@andyb619 This is about the dumbest and least thought out statement I have read in a long time. You argue that it's dangerous to hold shit bag judges accountable for their actions and then try to place the blame on politicians. Maybe you shouldn't be drinking when you comment.

@@andyb619He's right though, cases where criminals are dismissed after doing the same thing 3+ times should hold the judge accountable

You always have the same clowns single out police officers should not have “qualified immunity”, do you know who shouldn’t have qualified immunity judges and prosecutors and DA’s You let someone out of prison early, you give someone a minimal sentence, you give out a pled deal for any violent crime, victims should be able to sue the judge, the prosecutor. Unlike officers who are not immune to their choices, what other job do you wear a camera that watches and hears every single thing you do? Judges prosecutors are actually completely immune from any consequences for any choices and decisions they make. Unlike times past they were concerned what the community thought, now they’re just worried about what their social circles an left-wing media think.

Why, people want cops to be accountable for every decision they make, even though most are split-second in the context of being injured or killed. Majority are a physical contest between a violent. criminal or crazy person. Judges and prosecutors on the other hand are physically, economically and criminally immune when they put the greater society at risk with their decisions. They are both public servants, neither should be immune for what they do on the job.
