Susan Boyle, thank you for a forever special heartbeat. I lost him nearly 18 yrs ago after 36 yrs and have remarried a widower. In memory of my first love, my 2nd love now finds me to slow dance to Unchained Melody. Time helps a lot but as long as she is in your memory, she remains in your heart. And that’s okay. One day in a year more or less, it’s okay to see others. It’s good to love again. If it’s a good relationship, you won’t have to let go. We keep our loved ones on the mantle and memories throughout. If you haven't heard it before, I highly recommend that you listen to LeAnn Rimes' version of it. I personally think it's got far more emotion and LeAnn has such a set of pipes that hits all those high notes in a way that can give you shivers! 😊

I have done alot of performing in my lifetime, so i speak from experience. Susan is a treasure. Her singing isnt overly polished and boringly professional and thats what i LOVE about her songs. I can still hear the shy lady that took a chance on herself and walked onto the stage years ago and blew everyones socks off. She is an inspiration to everyone who sings alone in their bedroom, or their car, etc. Take a chance on yourself!!

I can not say how many times Susan Boyle has given me goosebumps and I’ve watched/listened to her many times! I’m a retired music teacher and I’ve shown her first audition to classes to watch their reaction . It was always the same. Giggles and snickers at the beginning followed by stunned silence and intent listening and ending in spontaneous applause. To a video! Who knows how many people Susan has inspired to follow their dream!

Susan was a big surprise to all of us, especially Simon Cowell.. he was a little derogatory towards her, the same way he was to that superb singer Jonathan Antoine who had an amazing voice for a 17 year old. Two excellent and superb singers that surprised everyone. The two of them gave pleasure and wonder to us freely.. and have gone on to fantastic careers.

One of the most if not THE most difficult song to sing and she makes it look so easy, if I tried, hell most of us tried this, we'd be in a hospital and I would lose my vocal cords, it's the booming voice of Ann Wilson, Grace Slick and Whitney Houston combined with the powerful soft ethereal voice of Karen Carpenter...just amazing.

I love her voice. And I love that she's an older woman. I love the emotional depth I can hear, and the richness from a life lived that I hear, but also the vulnerability and surprising delicacy - giving it a timeless quality. She's something very special. Love her.

You're right, Susan is inspiring... However, she is not simple, she has quite a personality! Susan suffers from Asbergers Syndrome. It's one of the Autism Spectrum Disorders. These people actually are not simple at all, they're often quite intelligent. They just aren't able to integrate socially as the most people are able to do. Susan works hard at being able to integrate socially. She's even starred in a movie because she want to hinder herself socially. Integration is a huge challenge for her and all Asperger/Autism individuals. My hat's off to them!

I love the looks on the musicians faces -- Susan's voice is a beautiful instrument that is supremely worthy of the talents of the composers and musicians. What an incredible experience it must have been for them to play for her. When she hit that high note... wow. I'm guessing this was one of the highlights of their careers. I hope that Susan enjoyed it. Sometimes having talent can be lonely --- but in that room, she had the company of many talented people who were immersed in the energy of the moment, sharing it with her. It's like hearing the voice of an angel.

I love how this woman can bring out the best of the players around her. They understand they're playing their instruments to a fantastic singer and they love every bit of it!!!

After spending the morning being blown away by Bobby Hatfield singing this beautiful song, I wasn't expecting much from Ms. Boyle. Although they could be different songs entirely, Boyle's rendition is much more tender and gentle whereas Hatfield's carries the desperation and passion of a lover missing the beloved. Both have charms of their own.

She has the voice of an angel.......what a gift!!!!!

No, this is not Susan as she really is. They have tamed her gorgeous voice to soft and subtle. She is a power singer with heart. Let the little tiger ROAR!

What an incredible voice you have, Susan. Both my husband & I loved this, & you sang it with such soul & passion & a beautiful whispering gentleness, & then the power when you hit those higher notes. This is now our favourite version of Unchained Melody. You are simply quite incredible, Susan. You have the voice of an angel.

No need for fancy extra screaming to sing..... an already beautiful yet simple song, just needs to be sung beautifully to touch the depth of the soul. She has an amazing voice and her range, she's so still with confidence and peaceful singing! YET! So touching and moving her words hang in the air and linger on your ears and rest on your heart and stirs your soul!

I came across this video once again in 2019 and got GOOSEBUMPS as soon as she sung the few notes. What an amazing story and life she now has. Sometimes it pays to go through the school of hard knocks! Bet her tormentors are eating dirt now! Revenge is so SWEET when God is in it!

I wish they would let her sing like this all the time. When they try and improve her by adding all the instrumentals. They almost drowned her out in her first album. She can sing acapella with no problems!
