My dad died in October 2022 from dementia. I was his caregiver for eight years. I've kept my emotions bottled up. I was so angry..Angry that my dad died. I'm very happy for this woman. She is graced with an incredible voice and found her chance to share it with us all. I hope her voice will remain her constant friend for many long years ahead. It's not her rendition. She did a good job with it, but this is an arrangement done by Eva Cassidy in the 90s. Identical, except that Eva was the considered by many to be among the best singers of all time.

This amazing woman fills my heart with so much joy when she sings.

She has a long career ahead because she has not abused her larynx like most vocalists her age have done. Her voice is young and fresh. Her control is excellent. Amazing range, pitch, tone, everything. She's a total vocal package. God bless her. And, the motormouth imbeciles that criticize her are just jealous/envious of her success!

I like the way Susan Boyle performs ever known old good-natured songs that inspires mosly our souls. And more than that, it's impossible to mix up her performance with someone's else. She embodies a real British lady by her acting.

Susan's voice brings me to tears and that is not typically me. Incredible!

I remember that day I watched her for the first time. Dress very humble, trying her best to win the audience, and them POWWWWWWWW Fell in love with her voice, but what made this person such a beauty was her humility! I am very happy for her, and at this moment I have still the same best wishes I had that night - The first time I saw her! Love to you Susan!!!!!!

You can turn that scary into a positive energy and a power for your voice. I hope you don't mind, but I did a little Googling for you. I found that Susan lives in: Blackburn, West Lothian, Scotland, U.K. It's a small town, so I doubt you'd need a house number and street address to be able to write to her there. you are so very kind. I have a singing teacher and i am getting better. I love singing so much , but i am getting older. In time i will get the courage. My singing teacher wants me to go in a competition and is preparing me to do some professional singing. I hope i will get the courage to do this and i really do want to make people happy with my singing. That would give me great pleasure. I can't believe that you are so very kind to me. She looks wonderful here, absolutely elegant. This version of "Over the Rainbow " was just over the top, and likewise elegant. Just beautiful. Glad to have found this.

Gosh..... she just took this classic and made it entirely her own.... so comfortable with the microphone and completely in her own skin - a musical giant of a talent just discovered and now, so polished. This is pure singing at its finest ; restrained, soft and tender as it should be, and yet finished with a combination of power and grace in the climax. It's not that loud, hard climax the way most singers belt out in their efforts to sound big and powerful towards a song's end; Susan's nuanced take here just matched the entire persona and exceptional feel of the lyric. I am in complete awe now, just having watched this, late but not sorry - because she not only made it all her own - a hallmark of a truly great singer - it was the way in which she completely understood, then improvised and commandingly delivered the tune so honestly, purely, and beautifully, without overdoing things. I love her simplicity and un-pompous approach to singing. Thank you Susan. :) Anyway what I wrote was just utter rubbish compared to her : listen with your eyes closed, in a nice, quiet place, uninterrupted, and you'll perhaps understand why she's such a singing diamond, if there were such a fitting analogy. And thanks for this video! It's now in my favourites. :)
