Wow, what a powerful voice. She got the golden busser I believe Susan got cheated out of her golden busser the first time she sang her song. Everyone made fun of her, but she showed the judges what a powerful voice she had. SHE DESERVED THE GOLDEN BUSSER THAN BUT YOU ALL CHEATED HER OUT OF IT.

Susan Boyle, because she can sing a wider spectrum of songs.

No way can I choose one or the other. I will always remember how I felt when Susan Boyle began her audition. Her unlikely looks made it all the more powerful. I've come back many times to hear her do it again, and am revisiting Loren too. What a gift it is to hear and see such triumphs.

Of course you can compare apples and oranges, they’re both fruit and many people will prefer one over the other. I would more likely say you can’t compare apples and catchers mitts. Some people might not prefer one singer over the other. They are both so different from each other. I enjoy both but prefer Loren a slight bit more than Susan.

Each woman was special and they come from different cultures and times. They should not be judge as a battle. They are stupendous for the time they first preformed

Has to be Susan Boyle. She came on BGT looking like an older woman, who was in Simon's eyes a total dork, then she sang.. and blew everyone away with such an amazing voice.

It's a bit crazy to pair these two in a battle. Loren was professionally coached and trained much earlier in her life. Susan stood on a stage at 49 years old and shared her gift at BGT. Her "dream was to be a professional singer." She brought "raw" talent that day and blew everyone away. Who the heck takes on that challenge at 49 with the whole world watching?!? I love her story and admire her courage to fulfill that dream! They are both AMAZING and EXTREMELY TALENTED! They are both winners in my book. But for very different reasons ❤

I tend to agree with the majority. Both these women are blessed with a gift. Different generations and styles. They should not be judged as a battle.

After the movie she made the rounds showing up on every TV news / talk show promoting herself and singing the song, Anyone one who knew anything about the movie knew she was credited as the singer. She also was already known by Simon BEFORE BGT. It was HIS idea to have the BGT recruit her to be on BGT. She gave an interview in her local city paper stating it as so. She also came on BGT with nearly 20 years of professional experience, had already release a CD, had just finished touring with Andrea Boccelli, she was on PBS special with David Foster and dueted with Michael Buble on his recent released CD. So CLEARLY she was NOT an unkown.

I like them both.

For these two giants of musical genius, it is unfair to compare them, for they are from two different eras of being. The younger woman has a very beautiful voice, but is of a younger era; and has a more contemporary voice and sings beautiful, but a different level of songs, which in my opinion, does not compete with the older generation of more classic songs. Ms. Boyle has a classic voice, and she sings songs of depth. She was someone who was immediately judged negatively, even before she sang one note, only to wow the audience and shut their mouths. Since I am 75 years old, I have lived long enough to not only recognize quality, but to appreciate and prefer it. Few singers today, young or old, can match her clearly God-given perection.

Totally agree!! Loren,.. Before coming on BGT had already done a PBS special with David Foster, toured with Andrea Bocelli, dueted with Michael Buble on his newest CD and had released a CD of her own after the movie. Clearly a lot of high level of professional exposure and nearly 20 yrs of experience. Unlike Susan at age 47 who had never sang or performed outside of her apartment with her cat and a bit around her village,..what she showed the world in her audition of raw talent will never measure up to Loren's (simon recruited BGT) audition.

Both are great singers but bit unfair as one is a professional singer singing behind the scenes and the other her first time singing

susan is an artist and a soulful singer. it who i can listen to over and over again
