I have kids too. It's a bit of a gap before they can join you in the woods.😊
Why are people posting how useful it is. It is but not when you watch 2 minutes of it and decide to comment
Here is 2 that my grandfather taught me. Never use more kindling wood to get a fire started than you absolutely have to. You might need it later. Second when you think you have enough wood to make it through the night go out and get that amount again and you should have enough.
Could you imagine how many lives this guy has saved without even knowing lol

It's awesome that they don't even have an intro or anything... just the tips straight away for anyone who needs them! That's what it's about!
I recently learned how to “float” on a hand drill. Like you do in the video, you move your hands down but when you do this floating technique, your hands stay still. A very useful technique.
Useful video 😁
Without doubt, that is the single best survival video I’ve ever seen, and I’ve been watching them for years.❤️🤗🐝
So much knowledge so few people willing to be taught…. This video deserves so much more 🤜🤛

Hey sir! I appreciate your knowledge you bring to the table for nature itself and of course bushcraft. Do you happen to have a book or recommend a book with either pictures or detailed information of plants and nature where I could possibly use the info for eating stuff, building, etc?
Thanks a billion, love your shows.
Outstanding work! Thank you for the schooling. Learned many things.

Iv found that charcoal neutralizes the stickyness on your hands when dealing with pine sap. If you get it on your hands rub some charcoal on them and voila no more sticky fingers.

Hi I just want to ask you, whether you have to pay something to someone for staying in the forest and build something ?
Work that tree rope a bit and you can weave the strips into stronger rope. I have t tried boiling or lye yet

When using Hazel to make a bowdrill, can you use it while the wood is green? Or do you need to season the wood first?
@TAOutdoors
Жыл бұрын
Don’t use it green, either season it (which will take weeks) or look for dead standing Hazel to make a bow drill that is useable straight away.
Can you please come to Oz to teach us how to do the same?
Great video, Thanks for all the tips and tricks Mike. I enjoy getting out practicing the skills you teach so cheers mate 🔥✌️😜🌲
Great bundle of useful knowledge. Some 'not so useful info'; is where the word 'kindling' comes from, Old Norse, candle or baby fire from young or small; ie Kinder (as in the chocolate eggs banned in the USA, though firearms are not)... 'A Kindling' is also the collective noun for Kittens... back to the baby Norse to Germanic origin. Now I really want a Kinder Egg; 'Yibbo Shakey!' (I wonder who will get that ref') I love your work Sir! m out
👍😁
can the black resin be used for making flaming arrows?

Yes. Dip them in the resin and light them before firing
I'm jealous of the British woodlands... here in the Southern US everything and it's mother is venomous or otherwise wants you dead. Thanks for the tips, I've been enjoying your channel
Peeling bark off of live trees or using their roots is illegal in parks and public land where I live so, hopefully, you are on your own property. This is very useful info for emergency situation, otherwise keep in mind laws or that damaging or removing bark or roots of live tree will make it vulnerable to pests and disease and likely lead to its deterioration.
Awesome video, brother! A full length, in-depth video about survival is just the right thing for your channel. Keep up the high quality and insightful material. God bless!
👋😎👍
Yes! Another video is up 👍
the limpet, and the snail like shells, periwinkle, around it are both edible ,its a flivver and along with cuvvins and mussels, can be boiled and pickled ,the seaweed is useful too,you need a lug worm to get the dog fish, unbeknown to alot of people, the beach will provide more food and resources than the woods can
if i have to be stuck on an island with anybody Im taking this guy
