I’m thankful that there are awesome surgeons still practicing , like you. In my city most of the good doctors and surgeons left due to the bad economy. I have to travel a long ways for medical care now. Thank you for being a surgeon! Happy New Year too!

Hey Dr. Parker ! I absolutely love your videos, and how you actually depict reality as opposed to the fake fantasies that come with being a healthcare provider. Can you make a video about your interactions with nurses in the intensive care unit ? What do you expect from the nurses? Can you describe your interactions with a registered nurse first assistant? Can you describe your interactions with nurses anesthesitist? Which do you prefer in your OR a MD anesthesiologist or a CRNA ? How do the CRNAs hold under pressure ?

Great video! I can't say that I'm capable of relating, but the fact that you have the grit and the humane and intellectual capacity to do all the great things you do on a daily basis is astonishing and beyond. I hope that your next shift will be less stressful. Good luck!

I go with the difficult Zen saying, "The obstacle IS the path." The more you can smooth out the most difficult of days and solve problems, the faster your path to absolute excellence. It's just really really too bad that you can't wear the GoPro for the sober after thoughts on particular problems.

Never actually realized just how random-seeming a surgeon's life could be. Probably an idiot for it, but I'm lowkey really excited to become one still. Bad days happen in any profession, but they still sound really awesome in surgery

i feel with you dr parker. these things i saw in my final year rotation with myself and with the neurosurgeons i am working with/shadowing ...one day is great and another day may kick your ass (e.g. lesion/tumor not removed completely by means of post-operative MRI...). LOL.

Dr. Buck, I think it would be awesome for you to do like a top 5 most memorable moments in medicine for a video or something! Could be patient related or milestone related (getting accepted to your school of choice). Thanks!
