Sega knew exactly what they were doing when they made Surf Ninja's...as a kid it got me wanting a Sega game gear with that beautiful colorful screen for portable gaming. Obviously that was before I knew about its battery life being nonexistent

As a kid who owned a Game Gear, this movie was amazing. I still love it. Always will.

I loved this movie as a kid, precisely because of how stupid it was lol. This and Sidekicks with Chuck Norris. Another movie that doesn't seem to exist anywhere anymore.

I think Mike's role in this series is actually quite organic. He's not the hardcore movie guy like James (and the other guys?), but he's the casual movie fan who has specialised interest in certain franchises and elements of pop culture. Just hanging out in the video store. Maybe the store needs a Ninja Turtles arcade machine for him.

Growing up in a small town I had two rental places. The looked just like this. You guys nailed it. I can still hear the creaking floor boards and smell the old and dusty scent. Such good memories. $7 for a game for 7 days. I rented Dragon Warrior, Final Fantasy, Super Mario 2, Mega Man 1-3, Startropics, Little Nemo and many others. They're both gone now :(

From what I've seen, Rob Schneider seems like a great person.

This movie takes me back to being 12 renting kid flicks. Life was good. 7Eleven BMX bikes Nintendo and cheesy movies

This was one of my favorite movie as a kid! It definitely brought back nostalgia watching this. As a kid, we loved this ninja stuff.

Tone Loc was in Surf Ninjas, Ace Ventura, & Blank Check!! As a kid I seriously thought he was a huge star since he was in all the movies I loved. When I discovered his music I was blown away!!

I think I just hit peak nerd when I heard "Patusan" and instantly thought of Joseph Conrad. Lord Jim is a great novel btw.

I gotta say, Mr. Rolfe, I absolutely love this new series you guys are doing. I think it's a fresh new direction for Cinemassacre (*sniff* still has that new series smell! Wow!). The last episode on "Commando" was a great nostalgic romp through one of my favorite 80s movies which also happened to be a staple of my late childhood/adolescence. Cool effect how you slowly faded from the older vintage camera style to the newer sleek look. That was awesome!

This series is like Cinemassacre's version of RedLetterMedia's Half in the Bag, but instead of being a VCR repair shop, they're a rental store. Just an observation, not a criticism.

That last comment/joke from Mike was hilarious!

This movie is a masterpiece. Y'all sleepin' on Surf Ninjas.

I'm loving the setup you guys have in the back with that 90s vhs store rental feel. it reminds me exactly of a video rental store I used to go to back then called galaxy videos. the 90s were so good to me.

As a kid I loved the movie and was a 90s classic... can't imagine anyone liking this movie today if u never seen it back than. Looks like James missed out a part of the 90s, but we can't all catch everything from the 90s, can't we?

I used to work at an asylum/housing facility for people who have mental illness. There was this one guy who had schizophrenia and he was around 6”5 and 350-400lbs. (Essentially Michael Myers) His favorite thing in the world is this movie. I’ve had to have seen this movie around 100+ times and heard the audio from the other room countless other times. Words can’t describe how much I hate this movie, but I’m glad it existed while I was working there. Saved me from being killed multiple times

You should do a episode on Monster Squad, it was one of my favorites growing up.

I really liked the way this was setup and shot. From the old commercial to they way everyone was positioned. But I always seeing your rental store basement room.

The infamy of it all. I rented both Surf Ninjas, the TMNT 3 movie, on one of the sad wastes of a weekend from my childhood. It was like shock and awe. I always rented two movies, in case one sucked. But this time I got both barrels... And I just realized I'm getting ranch dressing from my burger on my phone. I've had a few brews, so I'm a little slow right now.

This is one of those flicks that, after repeated viewings, you come to realize the villain was the star of the show. Nielsen’s General Chi had the best scenes and best lines. Just like how Skeletor was the saving grace of Masters of the Universe and Dr. Evil routinely upstaged Austin Powers.

Let's not forget about the late great Raul Julia as M. Bison in Street Fighter. His epic, over-the-top performance would have been an Oscar winner if there was ever category for best performance in a "Shitty Movie".

Funniest line was delivered by Mike at the end and the quick cut was perfect! Great series.

I love this series. This could be endlessly entertaining. NEVER STOP!

I loved this movie. I was 12 when it came out and had just started surfing. I was also big into martial arts. This movie had everything in it I loved and practiced and still love and practice to this day.
