    I know someone with a baby mom who “lived” between her sister house and the baby daddy house. Baby daddy was supporting her by letting her stay with him whenever she needed to and he was with his child as much as she was. He told me she tried to put him on child support…..long story short she had to wait on that child support for over a year because she had to first stopping living with her baby daddy part time, actually MOVE IN with her sister, and THEN she still didn’t get what she was expecting because baby daddy had all the receipts and proof of support form day one. The child was even at the paternal grandmothers house being watched while the case was going on. The judge could not understand why baby daddy was ok with being put on child support if he already did so much for his child. He just kept saying “well she wants the baby with her all the time, but WE are NOT getting back together. I just want to make sure my son is taken care of, even if I’m paying for him and her”….judge made baby mom move out of his place and get a stable job before she received anything…..But it’s still not fair for my friend to be paying mom child support as he’s bathing the child, helping with homework, raising him, etc. He’s just basically covering her ass so she can have “her turn” without stress.

  • @fbbWaddell

    @fbbWaddell

    2 жыл бұрын

    A mom who is not stressed out is a good mom. He's doing it for the child. I wish more men put the needs of the child over their person feelings about what the baby mom does. If she can't afford a home of her own just on her own income and give the child the same lifestyle he would have at his father's house, then so be it. I would do the same thing. I don't care what I think of the other person. My child will be well taken care of regardless of what is or is not fair. Your friend deserves an award and I hope that when his child is grown, he will do the same for him when he is old and unable to care for himself anymore.

    That's sad. I'm sorry to hear that. It reminds me of my boyfriend's friend. He has a child with a woman who basically drops his kid off with his parents and him (he still lives with them as it's cheaper and he can use his money more to help his child) and she's the one with primary custody. We told him so many times that he should take her to court for custody because she rarely spends time with her own child. She parties a lot and uses his money to do it with. He spends a ton of money on his daughter and she's still sponging off of him. But he doesn't have the time to go to court to get custody because he works his ass off all the time. He's a great dad. His daughter is doing very well even with her mom being a drain on both of them. She's about to get a soccer scholarship and plans to go professional. And she's just barely into high school. He pays for all the things she needs to advance her soccer career. Her mom barely pays her own bills let alone her daughter. It's sad that courts are so biased in favor of mothers. They miss the really crappy ones and it often leads to problems later. There's a mentality where people think that moms are better parents than dads. It's ridiculous. There's bad moms and dads on both sides. At least my boyfriend's friend is making up for what his daughter lacks from her mom. But we told him so many times he'd save himself money by getting primary custody.

    She's 100% right that she can't put him on child support. Not only is he probably using his part-time income to pay what he can for them but he's also a free babysitter for her. If she wants him on child support she has to kick him out and therefore he wouldn't be a free babysitter. Because if she kicks him out and he gets his own place and the kids are with him most of the time he will be the primary parent. Or he refuses to be a free babysitter and then she has to pay for a babysitter. And she also will not be getting the benefit of his income because if he's part-time he's probably going to be put down for minimum wage at about $200/month. I guarantee she's getting more than that from him living there. She'd do better to keep things as is, work things out with him, and when he gets a full-time income she will benefit from that. I can see exactly why they're having so many problems. She's entirely frustrating doing crap like this to him and asking if she can just throw his stuff out to the curb like that. I'd like to know who owns the house or who's paying on it. He's so frustrated he had to go to Cabo just to get some peace and relaxation. And she even ruined that for him by freaking out on him while he's there when she was being passive-aggressive towards him by being sarcastic about him being able to go. Then she accuses him of cheating on her which he isn't. I'd divorce her ass too. I'm glad Judge Vonda did the right thing with this one. That woman needs to know that she's lucky to have him. Getting him to pay most of his income on her and the kids as well as getting free babysitting and she has the audacity to take him to court over this. Not to mention the damage she's doing to the kids that have to deal with their parents screaming at each other like that. Unreal.

    Here are two scenarios I'd like to see. Scenario Number one: let's say I won the lottery a cool $75 million how would my income be calculated under Texas law? Would it be just a lump sum, or would I pay based on another factor. Scenario Number two: speaking of lump sums let's say I paid the custodial parent a lump some from my savings. This lump sum was based on my monthly child support payments was $463 a month for 18 years. I gave custodial parent roughly $100,000. It's ok been a few years and I have a better job with a much higher salary. Custodial parent now wants more money. Would I have to pay child support based on the my new income would I pay the difference based on the old and new income, or has my child support obligation already been met?

  • @kidray7611

    @kidray7611

    For scenario 2. Best way to handle that is for both parties to agree on the lump sum and an agreement that this payment will satisfy child support for the next pre determine years and there will be have no change in amounts under no circumstances.

    Lottery and gambling winnings over a certain amount does require a tax form (not sure which one), and it is considered income.

    Idk about the laws per se, but they cap your income in some states like Texas so I believe that cap would still apply. As for the 2nd one, it would have to be agreed by both parties and id HIGHLY suggest writing a contract with clear terms and having it notarized and signed Infront of someone. I don't think this would be a CS issue but a civil issue (like a prenup) and just matter of cancelling the order.
