My case started in 2001 but the child has lived with me since 2005 and the OAG knew about this but somehow they still have me paying child support to the mother to this day. Wow, great job done OAG you sure are doing what is in my child's best interest, the Office of the Attorney General in Houston, Tx. has failed miserably.

I really thought that once the judge heard that he was married that she would take the wife's earnings into considering..even though im pretty sure that's not how it works, I was still clutching my pearls.

I know someone who tried to get an increase when their ex married a surgeon. It actually backfired because they got a decrease because the ex wasn’t making as much as previously. If they could use the spouses income could you imagine that woman finding out that her husband had an affair that resulted in a child when she found out she had to help pay child support? Talk about traumatic.

There is more tea in these support cases than on any reality tv show!

It really baffles me how some people think that just because they didn't want the child that they should not have to pay child support for said child. If you fathered the child then you need to pay child support if you and the mom are no longer together. Any time you do the thing that create a child, and you do not interfere properly with anything to prevent a child from being created, you consent having to a child and bearing responsibility for it. Consent to sex is consent to the possibility of pregnancy.

Good exemplary case. I always try to remember that these are actors playing roles to show examples o f real cases. I have friend who was well educated and was dating a single doctor who had had a family. When my friend got pregnant he ended the relationship. I am sure she made sure he provided child support.

The societal double standard really is something. If a woman wants to “Have fun“, and gets pregnant she can decide to abort the child with or without the fathers consent. Again child support should be proven by way of expenses, and it should go in to a trust, that then is controlled, and it should be paid out via that.
