I think he want full custody of his child and is looking to make a good history for himself when he goes for full custody. She will never be able to call him a deadbeat dad. With her no-show she'll show the court that she has little interest in her child. Smart man.

He's not doing too badly - and he honestly seems to care about his child, seeing as he brought himself to court to voluntarily pay support. But he should definitely bring her to court and get custody of the child!!

He did it for legal reasons. Any child support he pays to the baby mama which is not paid through the court is legally considered a gift. If the baby mama comes back years later and says she never got paid. He gets no credit for monies paid outside of court channels. Also, because of Title IV-D which is nothing more than a state sanctioned Ponzi scheme, the state gets a cut of all monies paid via the court system.

Arkansas need some judges like this. My husbands ex-wife hasn’t payed child support in over 3 years and owes over $20,000 on back child support. Hasn’t seen the children in over 2 years and won’t get a job. She lose her other kids because she wouldn’t do as she was told in drug court. My bonus children have already voiced their opinions on their biological mother without any help. I wish some parents would understand that children are not dumb they see everything and can understand more then they are given Credit for

That was really smart of him. Since she didn't even show up, if she tried to go back and get back pay, she likely won't get it. This is a great paper trail and might help him if he tries to get custody in the future.

OK, I'm binge watching. Gotta be fair. I've shouted in anger at all the schmucks, so have got to give kudos to this Dad who's willing to step up and take care of his son even knowing it takes something away from himself. You may be a third string player, but you're a first string stand-up Daddy!!! *Smiley face, lol* at "Are you single?" JVB strikes me as good wife/Mom material, too. Lucky spouse/kids.

this is a really good idea because even if you give the custodial parent regular payments, they are considered a gift unless it is court ordered I had a friend who paid 800 a month for years to his baby mama, 200 a week he had all the canceled checks to prove it when she did take him to court but the judge said that was considered a gift and still hit him with thousands of back support

In the scheme of things with a child or more, its definitely not a lot after taxes. I make 70k, and after taxes, union dues, social security, car note, car insurance, rent and general bills. Shiiiiieet, i dont have a lot left afterwards to be honest. She just said he had to pay nearly 900 a month. If you break it down, thats crazy

@@jawanzaevans8842 were not saying you can’t live off 60k were saying theirs people who can live with half of that I don’t wanna here that BS high cost city area cause I live in one of those I live 15 minutes away from time square in Hoboken NJ look at the average capital it’s 82k you can’t find a 2 bedroom for anything less then 1,500 like I said I’m a college student who works and goes to school full time and I’m making it on 30k (for now) and mind you I stay in a studio which cost me 1,300 if you can’t survive off 67k alone your not budgeting correctly. Now with kids that’s a whole different story

My kids father put himself on child support when we broke up then got upset with me when they made him pay it lol

Lmao my child father did the same, i told him just give our daughter 150 a month, the court ordered him to pay 389 a month and he was mad at me.

He is a really good father to his kid for making sure he is helping raise his kid financially

she handled that so well

That's crazy that in order to prove that you are taking care of your child, you have to get the courts involved. I think it is ridiculous that monies paid to the custodial parent outside of a court order is a gift and you can be forced to pay back child support when you have been paying child support all along, but you were doing it in your living room so you didn't have to do it in a courtroom. I don't why any parent in Texas would not put them selves on child support from day 1, since there is no credit given for anything done outside of what the court has ordered.

i like how the are you single question was handled.it was done in a classy, mature,respectful way.ive unfortunately encountered some women that while dating me and are suppose to be out handling things would've took him up on an offer.not saying he's wrong.

I did the same thing filed on myself because the mother wouldn't let me see my kids thinking that it would help with getting me visitation but she still would not to let me see them. Same thing with my fiance now husband. She told the kids that they can decide if they want to see him or not. Like how when he's a great dad! Never missed a payment and did extra for those children!! I'm sorry to hear that sir but I do feel bad for men who do the best and still don't get help from the court! Its pitiful. Sir I hope you don't have to go thru that anymore.❤

That happens often actually. The mom will get government assistance whether the dad pays child support not. Government just wants to recoup the money they are giving the lazy mother

Judge Bailey can Mr. Daniels ask you for full custody of his son. Since mom is in the street somewhere doing her own thing and the mom and dad don't get along either and he can get custody of his son and the mom can pay child support to the dad.

Man is smart and a gentleman for not bad mouthing the woman when she wasn't there. He knows what kind of Hoochie he's messing with. If he give her money off the record should come back and lie later. That’s good that he put his self on child support. It gives the payer a budget and the other parent can’t say you don’t take care of the child financially. More men should really do that.

@@richardswift7285 Uh, Real judges in a real courtroom can rule on Child support cases. Best you speak to an attorney. And ask a courtroom judge in Child Services. You will get educated on Judges and the Courtroom. Judge do decide on child support in the Courtroom.

Get you a lawyer and file for full custody .

Why can’t I get a judge like this? They make one payment and then don’t pay nothing for 30days I called the cs office they say we will call he makes a payment and it just goes to repeat 🙄 but 21 yrs of bs they won’t change or help now! Just owe back support that they will never make them pay 🥺

My husband is paying child support he was court order but before he got the order for child support he got fired cause he’s not legally able to work in U.S. The mother won total custody because she filed domestic violence which she was *lying*. I’m a witness. He had a protective order set for 1 1/2 years. After his protective order concluded he started trying to send money through a nephew of her but she never gave info on where she was. It was till 1/2020 when she dicided to send him a text through messenger. After sending her 25 hundred on the month of 1/2020 my husband send her a last payment directly to her on the amount of $200 told her that he knew he is behind but he had no way to keep sending her 500 weekly. She got piss told my husband she was not going to get no more money from him. He got worried on how to get the money to his sons so he file with child support district in Texas. Not knowing that he was getting F** up. Now he is needing to pay arrears & interest when the mother disappeared my husband never knew where or how to contact her. All these for trying to be good, the system doesn’t work. Failed on him because he had no evidence against what she was saying on the first court. She apologized to him and tried to get back with him and keeps using her youngest to control him. After she saw he was legally married she stepped back and told him that she knew that it was never going to happen again. But, she still loved him and will never get married again cause he will be her only husband. I Don’t know how to help him I was the one that recommended him to open up the case on Child support so she were to be “obligated to received the money for well being of my stepson.” Not knowing he was getting screwed really bad.”
