A demon possessing someone means they control them and the possessed people have no agency. A person without a soul decides to do the things they do themselves, even though with a soul they would never choose that path. Souls themselves have power which is given to the person having the souls.

Love how much of a callback this season is with Dean and the Mark of Cain compared to Sam & the demon blood in S4. How they deal with the "addiction" and how the actions towards each other are very similar. It was very clever of Sam to record the exorcism.

... and then there's also Crowley. Heh heh. 🥂 Ps. Yeah there's def a relationship between Dean and Crowley. Frenemies maybe? I think it's cool too. Love watching a scene with just those two!

I've forgotten that older actress's name.. but I really like her. Seen her in several shows. She not only nails her characters, she gives all of them them pizazz.

I agree I'm also sick of the brothers being at odd with each other! That's another reason I like this episode because with them apart we get a break from the feud, and its much needed. This is the first time in forever that we see Sam not miserable or moody, and its a welcome change. But again I wish he would just talk to Dean

Bro after what Dean pulled, you have to give Sam time bruh. That was a complete violation of Sam and a result was Sam (Gadreel) but still Sam, killing Kevin

While I hate it when the brothers split up I do enjoy it when that go on their own cases. It's nice that we finally get a Sam centric episode! And personal one since he knows what's its like to lose his soul. But yeah we really haven't had much for Sam in the filler episodes. I mean we had the Dog Dean episode and the Bad boy episode, all great and memorable but we really haven't had much from Sam till now
