I prefer the golden one too, because the black logo is symbolic, it represents Clark Kent's grieving of Lois Lane, who is still alive in Legacy, using the black one doesn't make any sense

I agree with Our Movie News that this S emblem would look better with a short slash near the bottom. As it is now the S emblem looks to me like the slash seen in the Ghostbusters symbol.

While I like the Kingdom Come emblem and suit, I’d prefer if they wait on using that suit and/or emblem cause I feel like that suit fits better with an older Superman like the comic, if we had to get a suit with a black emblem then I’d prefer we get the Fleischer suit like the flashbacks in Superman & Lois where maybe that’s Superman’s starter suit and he later gets something more classic maybe around the second or third act or maybe even in the final scene, going on to use that suit in his next DCU appearance

It may be a comic Superman symbol. But it looks like a backwards z in a triangle.

We've seen the usual style of the shield all the time. The 'Kingdom Come' shield is a rare design which only crops up every now and then. Quite recently in Superman's Warworld saga even. Besides I think it works a little better when you recall it's supposed to be an alien glyph. And I can go with either black or gold as the background.

Looks like Funn Gunn is going with Morrisons Superman and the Authority for looks anyway and yes Kingdom Come. Let's hope it's not SILLY.

My guess, and this only speculation, granted. We know Gunn is thinking of these as "phases" which he is calling phase one "Gods and Monsters". If he is following the MCU/Endgame model, then he most likely has 3 phases that will build up to a "BIG EVENT". He has teased some images in the past of storylines that he might be doing or taking inspiration from and those mainly come down to, if I'm not mistaken, Kingdom Come, New Frontier, Justice League International, and this is speculation, but the one where Superman goes up against was it the Elite? My speculation would be Kingdom Come is the big Endgame Event "Phase 3" will be about. The first JLA movie might therefore be based off of New Frontier -- which also acted as an elseworlds first teamup of the JLA-- this might be the "ancient evil" which will be uncovered by Hal and Stewart in the JL MAX show. The cast pick of SL reminds me a lot of JLI early covers, and the team has a very "JLI" feel to it. Guy was in JLA, Maxwell Lord was the promoter, Metamorpho was in the JLI branch, and those comics I feel really fit in with Gunn's humor and style.

I’d rather be following the production of man of steel 2 but I’m definitely excited for legacy and as far as the costume and the S is concerned, I won’t worry too much on it but if my opinion mattered I’d probably say go with the black background as a solid change but I don’t think this do that either. They’ll figure out a proper S and go with gold. The kingdom come story would be a great path to start going down

I was expecting that if this movie wasn’t gonna be of my liking… it would show first signs pretty soon. Same happened to me with Superman Returns.

To be honest im not happy with this logo choice. Its too plain and boring. The man of steel is by far the best in terms of the s shape along with the kryptonian markings on it. Hopefully gunn adds some more texture to the suit keep it from looking too plain and boring.
