Getting “Kingdom come” vibes from the new crest for the suit

The texture is called basket weave.

I dig it a lot. Always liked the Kingdom Come version of the logo. And the yellow outline reminds me of the Superman: Earth One mini series.

Wow Mikey Sutton said almost a year and some months ago on Syl Abdul podcast that that was going to be the name of the movie. Another win for him. May he Rest In Peace

I wish Hollywood stopped giving movies the same title because everyone will end up calling this movie “Superman 2025”.

I personally love this crest. It might be my favorite!!

I really like that it's a good in-between for the texture. Not too smooth like the Christopher Reeve suit, nor too textured like the Henry Cavill suit. And I like the use of the Kingdom Come logo. It looks more alien rather than a regular S and seems to be more specific to the DCU

I absolutely love the crest from MOS, hands down. Seeing this variation, well...I expected less, so I'm actually surprised. The title of Superman Legacy sounded cheesy anyway, so I'm also surprised that Gunn dropped it to just Superman. I'm not rooting for Gunn in anyway. But, regardless of where I stand between the DCEU and DCU...I'll close with this statement... HAPPY BIRTHDAY SUPERMAN 🦸‍♂️ ❤️

What’s ironically interesting about the title change is that when MOS 2 was about to be fast tracked into production, it was going to be called “Superman”! Not trying to spark the obvious debate on this, but it never made sense in my opinion for a story centered around a younger Superman who’s early in his character to already have a legacy. I’m still mixed on this because I’m just not a fan of James Gunn’s style of filmmaking. I’ll give it a chance with low expectations.

Reeve, not Reeves. 2:20 I like this look, but was preferring a less patterned design, since we already had that in MOS. I Color tones look good though. Still wanted a suit that really looked different this time, like liquid esque, with a possibly glowing chest emblem. Whatever, no biggie though.

Even though I like standard S more than Kingdom Come version, I like the texture and color, but how you did show in the past, bottom line for S should be added.

Hmmmm, not a fan of the logo, too kingdom come, love that story but it gives me more serious vibes which I'm not sure we want. And good on the title change. But guys remember, there's actual not smart people in that writer's room like tom king and christina dodson that can't not make long established characters gay and can't write a good film (respectively). Of course you have Gunn and Goddard in there so that's promising, but it can't be understated that tom king should not be in there and will have a negative effect on this film. My only wish is to be proven wrong. Also remember, writing is king and trumps everything else, if your writing is shit, chances are your film will be too, despite how good it may look.

G'day it's Steven from down under again I always enjoy your posts and your accent and voice tone is genuinely reassuring somehow, maybe it's an Aussie/English thing. Anyway I'm still concerned about Gunn's direction for many things, as for the movie being re-titled, well I'm okay with basic "Superman", however this has been done before in 1978, as for the chest shield, well the colouring seems okay, and I'm relieved that there is no black in sight, the yellow border is a little unusual but my biggest concern is that it "does not" look like an "S", the Superman shield is iconic and instantly recognisable and this is no longer that, so I can't see the bottom of the S but I really hope to see the S curl up slightly like an S does, and the fabric texturing is interesting but it looks slightly padded, and I really hope it's not an oversized shield too, also there's been no mention if there's a shield on his cape, even though I grew up loving Mr.Christopher Reeve's suit I wasn't a huge fan of the yellow shield on his cape, as for the trunks, well I'm okay either way, perhaps it would be good to bring them back. Up Up and away, we go...

"Superman" is more in line with Gunn's other movies titles. Guardians of the Galaxy and The Suicide Squad were pretty basic

Love the enthusiasm as always. Great content, keep it up! 👍 I think Superman: Legacy was a better title because it felt more weighty, more serious in tone. BUT! If we’re going for that Donner/Reeves nostalgia and the movie is lighter in tone and fun/plucky then I say the new title is fitting.

It's the Superman red/blue/ Kingdom Come Shield. Toss the trunks have to go. The only cool thing was the boots.

Not sure how I feel about the yellow outside the S symbol, but it looks cool.

What drives me nuts is I can't tell if the little lip of the 'S' is there or not. I hope it is (its probably not, but thats ok) but the picture crops off the bottom.

I can see the texture is similar to MOS suit. but I don’t really like the design of the logo, you can see the yellow is also outside of the S. Maybe I have to see the whole suit. Anyways, there’s a rumor that it will centered around Lois, not Clark/Kal. Which makes sense because Gunn is never good at making larger than life characters like Superman. Take a look at Adam in GoG 3. Will have to see the movie to judge.

I think it’s very smart business to just call it Superman.

Probably makes more sense "LAGACEY" should be a older superman if hes sort of new too being superman he not got much of a legacy so just calling it "SUPERMAN" sounds good

I think I’m in mute here but The S is ok for but I'm not being negative, I just want to see the full costume to make a final judgment

Because WB is still enacting there Stupid Character Embargoes canceling Superman and Lois instead of letting it continue alongside Gunn's film, part of me is actively rooting aganist this film. I don't care what anyone says to me, that's my stance because this restriction nonsense needs to end.

I despised the Snyderverse take on DC besides The Suicide Squad, Wonder Woman, & Shazam. Still never rooted for a movie to fail. I hated Ezra Miller as the Flash before it was cool, but gave the movie a chance and actually liked it despite its huge problems, I love DC comics, I will never root for a movie with characters I love to fail. Superman & Lois is a good show, but 4 seasons is a good run, but do we really want it to become the nonsensical mess the Flash TV show did?

Two good news. The new title surprised me because made me think that this simple word had never been a name of a movie before, once Donner's film had two names and, at least in my country they used: Superman, the Movie. And the symbol is really original, reminds us the Kingdom Come, but with good changes. I feel good about it.

All the actors have signed long term contracts kingdom come is probably a far away storyline all they need to do is change the background instead of creating a new suit.

The suit is fine but still not interested to watch it I prefer the zack Snyder version of superman suit

The stitch work is very clean and newt, the crest is neat and feels part of the suit, making it feel earth made. Love the designe and the yellow ouline that makes the S pop
