A good example of this would be like you ordering all the popular classic dishes of a restaurant then the resturant asking you if you want to try x. I honestly cheered when I heard bride was gonna be the main character of CC since I like the actress and I love the design for her. I am legitimately excited for the DCU

If Guy is just gonna be a side character they can get away with casting someone older. Plus Fillion doesn’t look that old. With the right makeup he can look even younger.

True, the castings are great. Hopefully the stories and character development of these movies are good, because the MCU has been failing in this regard.

James Gunn is a miracle worker. He wrote the Legacy script, formed his creative team, picked the perfect cast, and selected his filmmaking team. At the same time, supervising multiple shows. All while continuously gunning down rumors from idiots and keeping fans updated. All done in a year working in a pressure cooker environment.

DC stinks at live action. With the exception of a few of the Batman series, they suck. And even with that as their best franchise, they cannot keep the same actor past three movies. DC SUCKS!!!

Nobody has been cast yet, Gunn stated his casting only comes after scripts are done. What the "casting" that got leaked for superman is a roundtable read, casting proxy actors to read aloud the script for screenwriters/players to get it exactly right. It doesnt mean theyll be in the movie

@@butterstotch3233 I stand corrected and must agree with you re: Wonder Woman, which was outstanding at many levels, including the wise choice to pick WWI as her debut setting instead of WWII of the comic canon. It made her personal struggle to fight through the moral ambiguity of the outside world more compelling going against Imperial Germany of 1871-1918 than if that they had had her go against Nazi Germany of 1933-1945. But regrettably that was the outlier and DC could not even avoid ruining that run with the insipid sequel. The final verdict does not acquit DC. Not looking for anything good this next round of reboot.

Blue Beetle could return in Peacemaker Season 2. Peacemaker plays a big role in Jaime’s original storyline.

I am interested in Supergirl production design. The comic has very imaginative world and color blast. I will love to see how it will transfer on big screen.

Im so excited for the DCU. It feels actually planned and with a path and connecting characters and plots. I like how every project has inspiration from actual source material and a vision like arkham having a "horror tone" or supergirl "science fiction epic" to make each project feel distinct but all the while being in the same universe. Im really hoping the DCU succeeds and follows through. But it can all still go to shit and also depends on how much studio suits interference there is 😮‍💨 DC fan all the way though so hoping for the best for the DCU 🔥

Not gonna lie, Wonder Woman, Flash and Aquaman are my 3 favorite DC characters so it does bum me out to have no information on projects about those characters but instead it looks like Gunn is putting focus on unpopular projects like creature commandos, Amanda Waller and peacemaker or on character seen tons of projects on already like Superman or Batman which I’m not going to pretend to care about

I agree with incorporating Wonder Woman and Aquaman because I don't know if you can do a chapter called Gods and Monsters without them. Shazam should get a reboot as well since he got his powers from a god. You also have to remember that this isn't the ENTIRE chapter. I'm sure there's more projects here that haven't been announced yet

Considering he had a movie a couple years ago and has 2 more movies coming up in the next couple of years? I just wanna see these 3 characters get movies in a universe that actually has direction which we haven’t gotten in 4 years by now. I don’t think oversaturation would be a issue especially if you make the flash of the DCU wally west for his live action debut . We haven’t got a Wonder Woman movie since 2020 so I believe she won’t suffer from oversaturation if a movie released in 2024 or 2025. And Aquaman I’ll give you that we did just get a movie on him but I do want to see him in a cohesive universe with actual stakes. That’s more of a selfish reason so on Aquaman I agree with you with.

I really like most of the news here, but starting Robin with Damian is such a mistake. Each Robin’s core concept doesn’t makes sense without the previous one, and having Damian with Grayson and Tim Drake to inherit the mantle from is just sad.
