The Bowser 8-bit I think is another that's great. You could do so much of Mario going through Bowser's army as Bowser in disguise. Make the level feel like Snake donning a Box and hiding in plain sight.

Zach's Mario Kart Channel Think about it nintendo was always soft when it comes to challenges they want family friendly games with very few occasional challenge levels. Its ment for kids super mario maker is where designers come in and create REAL BS levels. It is gonna make the impossible pack from NSMB2 look like a tip of the iceberg when you see these challenges people create. Gonna love having real challenging levels instead of wimpy gameplay. May not look like its worth 60 bucks but TRUST ME IT IS FOR ANY HARDCORE PLATFORMER.

3:51 I actually remade this course in Super Mario Maker 2. Level ID is CHY-QXK-P7G I remade it in the original Super Mario Bros style similarly to how it was originally made, instead of making it in the New Super Mario Bros U style like how it’s shown in this footage. I even put all the background plants where they were in the footage

Sadly Dylan it is through the fault of gaming, I am of this age group you are talking about and it is because of KSI and his brother using the word as any other and the majority of people in my year watch his videos and act the same way. But it isn't just them there are lots of people on the internet who don't care about others. Hopefully this doesn't ruin the game I don't expect it to because (surprisingly for a children's company) Nintendo fans are quite mature. Except when there wasn't voice chat in Splatoon

Just sad that satoru iwata isn't alive to see this completed :(

Nothing strange about that at all. It looks awesome :) I'm just not crazy about the new content added daily thingy. I'd like to have everything from the start or at least unlock everything at my own pace some kind of way, instead of being forced to wait. Ah well, once the 9 days are up that won't be an issue anymore. Everything else looks great

So basically, the full game comes out on the 20th... If you know what I mean, hehe.

Solomon64 Yeah that really threw me off. I can't believe they're doing that. I mean I know they want it so it's not overwhelming for players but after watching all of the videos as soon as I played Mario Maker at Comic Con I totally understood how to use it within 5 minutes. You should be able to turn off the unlock system.

Solomon64 Not really. It won't start unlocking until you play it. If you buy it on the 20th, you will still have to unlock it in 9 days and play it for at last 5 minutes each day.

When I went back to watch this after watching Super Mario Maker 2's trailer, man things looked so much different back in 2015.

Not only that, but the poor performance of the Wii U as a whole. Nintendo had no clue how to advertise it (the trailer was quite bad for it, and it didn’t have many good trailers besides this one and a few others)

I love the day system. It actually forces you to think creatively instead of being amazed at how you can put 200 giant winged bowsers on screen at the same time and never actually get to making a stage that you can be proud at.

I actually agree with you. It limits for a small time to be creative on what you have. That builds up on the new arrivals that come. Much preferring this than an insta-online kaizo mario level with endless enemies.

Why is everyone so worried about people used the custom sound effects for cursing? Nintendo has always been good with making sure you can block or report inappropriate players. Im sure that this game will be no exception.

SpotterX4 At best, Super Mario Maker is limited to the same basic toolset that Nintendo used to make a Wii U launch game. And I suspect that some aspects of NSMBU, like bosses, will be impossible to replicate. So for the next 2D Super Mario, Nintendo would just have to go far beyond anything done so far in the series.

I can't wait till this comes out this saturday! I have already pre-ordered the limited edition pack which comes with the classic mario amiibo, Super Mario Maker art book, and a magnet collection sheet as a pre-order bonus! I obviously didn't want to miss out on this game...especially for it marking the 30th anniversary of Mario! All the Super Mario games have never not once been a disappointment well done Nintendo for 30 years of joy, playing Mario at 15 makes me feel like I am young again!!!

On day 1 of the SSB4 Miiverse stage, DK's community was amazing.

The 30th anniversary is so nostalgic, especially the old t.v. screen border.

I really like that you can add sound effects. ...but having to wait days to unlock new objects isn't what I was hoping for. Oh well, I guess I will upload my first level on the 8th day or something. Kinda goes against my plans but could be worse.

***** when you'll buy this game you will have a fairely limited set of tools in the first day (comparable to the ones used to make 1/1 in smb) but it doesn't really matter since you'll just be learning how to to use the interface and such. in your second sitting you'll have something to look forward to in the new tools that you'll learn to incorporate into your level 1 by 1. rinse and repeat until the 9 days pass. it's not like you have to wait 9 days to do anything as you'll have all the essentials in 2 days. it's not like there's another way to unlock stuff in this sort of game atleast you're not paying for tools.

When this first came out I was really excited because he said everyone can play. That is until when he then said"only for Wii U" because I don't have one. Now that the 3ds version is almost out I've been so so hyped!😃

I remember watching this when I was younger, and this trailer was the first time I ever even heard of Mario. I will forever keep this trailer in my heart, thank you Nintendo, for changing who I am.

Now, we need a "Let's Watch" video for Super Mario Maker 2.

Got the Game the day it came out, very Nostalgic

Watching this now makes me feel sad. This game had so much potential for creativity and fun, but instead the community ruined it with unfair, horrible levels.

Probably because their were not many course elements to use, so they might have gotten mad and made bad levels. :(

Is not enough We need: Slopes Other old Mario games (example: Super Mario Land Koopalings Boom Boom 3d The Enemies limit (how many enemies you need to kill, example: 5/10 of Goomba stomped) Mario backgrounds (Jungle,Snow,Desert,Beach,Rocky) Water/Lava titles More enemies (Spikes,Pokeys,Flying Squirrels,Bat,Fuzzies) More Power ups (Ice Flower,Mega Mushroom,Boomerang Flower,Acorn,Cat,Mini Mushroom) One of those Orange Platform that you can’t get under it but jump through it Ladder Doorway that Enemies can work through the door (just like Lololol and Lalala attacks in Kirby games That’s all we need for SMM

here in 2022 and I just been crying the memories 🥺

I am pretty stoked for this game. I hope that in the future there are are more level types added as DLC and maybe even the ability to bundle together a bunch of your maps to be played through as if they were a full game.

So is it an in-game clock, or the console's time settings? Wondering if you can alter the system's date to get all of the items in one day.

If I were to ever get this I'd probably stick with the 1985 style of the game cause of all the time I played SMB DX on GBC. Something to keep a nostalgic feel.

HECK YES! I love this game!

This is my favorite game of all time.

I'm so happy, last year I got super Mario maker EARLY ON THE 3DS. IM SO HAPPY, I got it before anyone else got it, I think, but you know its AMAZING

I've never been so excited for a new Mario game in my life! :D

This game looks amazing but I have a question for the Mario U section. Am I the only one that hopes the ice flower and penguin suit makes it in?

Watch Super Mario Maker end up being like Happy Wheels and having 95% of the levels people release be "DON'T MOVE" or "99.9999999999999% IMPOSSIBLE" levels.

***** I think you are forgetting there is a difficulty slider in the search function. DON'T MOVE levels will be in Easy and IMPOSSIBLE LEVELS will be in Hard (likely) best bet would be to just pick out levels from the Medium option.

***** The game requires you to beat your own level before you can upload it, so that will at least reduce the amount of impossible levels.

Am I the only one who's a little disappointed that you have to wait to get tools? I want to pop the disc in and have everything unlocked, I don't want to wait to be able to play this game to its full potential, I want to have it all unlocked when I start, anybody else agree?
