I find it more, ehm, "closer to the fans", I had this sensation. And for that I like it, no matter how much it was terrible. It's better than this. Also, this collection is the laziest so no way I could like this. They tried something more new at the time.

First time I played Super Mario 64 was quite eye-opening. It just captured my imagination like nothing else... and, to this day, replaying it brings me back to that place every single time. It’s just magic.

Happy birthday to one of the most consistently high quality and enjoyable video game franchises ever.

Just went out and got 3D All-Stars! It also comes with a cute controller sticker pack! I own the originals of all three games, but being able to play them anytime anywhere on switch is just a gift! Thanks Nintendo! (My favorite is Sunshine. It was the first videogame I ever truly played.)

I'm going through every single mario game (that I have available) in honor of the 35th anniversary -- which is fun cause I hadn't beaten some of the older ones when I was a kid. So far I've finished super marios bros 1 through 3, donkey kong, and donkey kong jr. Next I'll try super mario land, followed by super mario world's 1 and 2, and then super mario rpg. After that I'll finally start super mario 64 on the 3d all-stars.

The only other mario games I own that I didn't list before are: Dr. Mario The classic super mario bros (the one were you flip enemies to knock them down). Mario and luigi superstar saga Mario and luigi partners in time New super mario bros Mario party 4 Mario kart Mario kart 8 Mario and luigi dream team Mario galaxy Mario + rabbits kingdom battles And I'll try to finish smash bros ultimate Guess I also forgot I had mario and luigi bowser's inside story. And whatever else is inside the super mario bros deluxe.

Picked mine up this morning. Didn't have a lot of time to play, but I can say 64 feels much better than I remember it. I've heard it's just emulation of the Shindou version, but it still feels like a huge step up from the original.

I can’t wait to get super Mario 3-D All stars.

I just got it because my son. I was not going to buy it, but seen all the comments made me go get it for him at target. I’m sure once it’s no longer on the shelf’s one March, the price will go up.

I think that Super Mario 64 DS should’ve been on there since even though it was a remake of Super Mario 64, the amount of content added made it good as an arrange mode. Also you could at least use a cursor to control the touch screen

@@brownie._.7344 The remake has more stars, more characters, more minigames and better graphics. This remake is the perfect definition on how a remake should be. The 64 doesn't have much sense after they remaked it, better put the DS in my opinion.

brownie._. I don’t really get why you think that having 30 extra stars, 3 new bosses, 3 new playable characters, and a whole batch of mini games is inferior. I mean considering the alterations Nintendo made. They could’ve had you control the touchscreen via a control stick which during the main game tried to recreate the analog stick which it succeeded in but it was awkward to use.

@@FanofGuardianTales Lol you clearly haven't played the source code port thats publicly available to all upscaled even one with the mario model heavily updated. That DS remake was cool at the time but it is nowhere near as good as the original. Too many unnecessary things added to that version.

I wish I had played 64 at launch I played it years later after Galaxy and thought it was good but it didn't blow me away like everyone else was when it first came out. Ocarina of Time however did blow me away and I first played that in 2010.

I was so excited to play 3D all star. I got my copy 2 hours ago and I am so disappointed by the camera controls on both sunshine and 64. I am really feeling let down by nintendo for not implementing any quality of life improvements in these titles, especially considering the premium price that the collection sells for.
