Super Easy Crispy Banana Fritters | Goreng Pisang Recipe 香脆炸香蕉 Singapore / Malaysian Street Food
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
Thinking of making some snacks for your loved ones? Try these super crispy banana fritters. In Singapore, this is commonly known as Goreng Pisang - which literally means Fried Banana in Malay language. There are two types of banana fritter batter available in Singapore. One is this traditional type and the other is the light and airy type. Personally we prefer the traditional batter as it makes the banana fritters more crunchy. If you're a fellow Singaporean too, let us know which type you prefer. :)
See the ingredient list below for your easy reference.
We would like to give special thanks to Shogun by La Gourmet for letting us try out their high quality non-stick pan in the video respectively. If you like to buy Shogun by La Gourmet pots and pans, you can go to any of the major departmental stores in Singapore such as Isetan, Robinsons, Takashimaya, BHG, OG, Metro or Tangs. These two brands are also available in most major departmental stores in Malaysia. La Gourmet products are also sold in Philippines and Indonesia.
Hope you can recreate this yummy dish in the comfort of your home. Thanks for dropping by our channel.

Am a Malaysian in India, who’s been homesick and homefoodsick for a while now. The routine returns have been affected by the pandemic. Tried this today in India to sate the goreng pisang craving. This came out beautifully. Just that I didn’t get the best suited bananas for this here, but nevertheless with the type I had, it was still delicious. Thank you for sharing your culinary knowledge. ♥️
Wow! Love this banana fritters, one of my favorite snack. Hope my first try is going to be exactly like yours.😋🤜🤛

Thank you! I also like to add black sesame seeds. Question: what is custard powder??
Can you make this in an airfryer in stead of frying in oil? Would you make the batter a little thicker for it to work?
Nice gona try this one

One of my fondest memories is eating a hand size slice of battered banana wrapped in paper and sprinkled with sugar from a street market. 😊 Thank you friend for sharing your recipe..😊 🤤
I loooove banana🍌 fritters - and also pineapple🍍 fritters. The inclusion of custard powder is new to me and I’m sure it will add flavour and density to the batter. I am keen to try it. Thank you for sharing your lovely recipes. 🙏 🤩😊

Hi, just to tell you really enjoyed your channel because you printed your recipe and very simple instructions and recipe. BTW, it's probably absurd to ask any ideal how long this stays crispy for cos these usually don't last on the table, but any ideals how long cos i want to mak some to give away but still want them to enjoy the crispiness on the receiver end. Thanks
I also love banana fritters!

What if I don't have rice flour, what can I use to replace it?
Going to use this recipe tomorrow Sunday night. Serve the fritters as a birthday treat at work Monday morning. Will add a little sesam seed to pimp it up. Will taste and look amazing. Will use ripened black bananas I found in the local toko here in Luxembourg city. The ripened bananas will give it a more sweetened texture. That´s the way I was instructed to make these pisan goreng by my Indonesian parents.

Can I try this recipe using air fryer??
Can I substitute rice flour with other flour?
I would include a bit of sugar in the batter because a slightly sweeter batter tastes better and I would sprinkle some black sesame seeds in the batter too. Will look amazing 😍
I followed your recipe and was really super crispy. Thanks for the perfect recipe. By the way, how can i make it less crispier? In case parents-in-law comes. They’re old.
Delicious recipe iwill definitely try this a New friend here's
The part re putting in custard powder is very interesting. Must try that! Thanks for the idea Roland.
In the Philippines, Pisang Goreng is called "Turon". It is just the same, frying big bananas but wrapped in lumpia wrapper.

Wow that sounds nice. I’ll be going to Philippines for work in September. Maybe I can get my colleague to get some for me. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Gd day Ronaldo.. any video on mading mee, bee hoon or guo teow soto ayam... thks
I followed your recipe and put 110 ml water. It looked very nice n slightly runny like yours but after half an hour in the fridge it thickened. I didn’t dare add more water and when I fried the bananas the batter turned out very hard. Should I add 150 ml water in the first place? And also the bananas were too soft and soggy while the batter was hard
How long will it stay crispy after frying?
what kind of rice flour is that. here we dont get glutinous rice flour is there an alternative
Is using wheat starch the same of using wheat flour?
Please make the 3 in 1 fritters. The yam, nian gao and sweet potato. Thank you.
Hi may i know wheat flour is the same as wheat starch? I bought wheat starch no wheat flour.

This is my fave snack too with tea. In Indonesia we HV another way to eat that banana fritters , Sometimes we sprinkle with shredded cheddar cheese n meises chocolate or just dip in sambal terasi.

I HV banana trees behind my house. So sometimes I make banana sweet potato n jackfruit seeds kolak ( cooked with brown sugar, coconut milk, a pinch of salt n pandan leaves ) can be served hot or with ice. Depends on the weather
I think is so yummy (pisang goreng)
Is wheat flour the same as all-purpose flour?
I add sugar to mix..very sweet..tyfp
This will be in my to-do list.

@@spicenpans I tried today and it was a failure. Not quite sure what went wrong..I prepared the ingredients as accordingly and noticed that 110ml of water is not sufficient to make the batter so added in some water prob 20mls n it became too watery then I added into 2 table spoons of rice flour n it had the same consistency of your batter on the video. However...it tasted nothing like goreng pisang, it was bland n was thinner than the usual crust. Very sad..decided to buy from market. Lol
Oh my goodness! Pisang Goreng!!!
