Note: To make this hat for any size, first you will make your chain in multiples of 3+1 and measure the chain so it measures the total length plus 2in more for the brim. Continue with the pattern until you have the head circumference measurement. Once you have this measurement, join both ends with slip stitch to form a tube. Once joined, fold the hat in half so that the join is in the middle and this will now be at the back. Now join the top with slip stitch as well. Turn the hat over and fold the brim. Your hat is done.

Just learning to crochet and I’m saving this for when I figure it out… I’m a mother/baby nurse and can’t wait to donate some to work and put my babies in hats I made 🥹
This little hat is one of the cutest baby hats I have seen. I will definitely be making some of these for a local NICU . THANKS.

Can I buy the cute baby doll in the pink hat somewhere ?

How do you do this is it a half double crochet stich, skip 1 chain then a half stich? Or is it half double crochet, and then in the next chain right after that a half stich it's a little confusing.

I'm a little lost, I started with a HDC in the 2nd chain from hook but every time I get to the end I'm ending with a SlSt. I've tried a few times and made sure I definitely have 34 chains but I'm still ending with a slst instead of a hdc every time.
@CrochetForBaby
5 ай бұрын
That’s fine too. In the next row you would just start with a hdc on top of the slip st.
hello! my first chain doesn’t end with a half double crochet. what am I doing wrong? it always ends with a stich…

Make sure your chain is in multiples of 3+1
Do you have a tutorial for this hat for children?

Just for baby but the measurements are there to make it.
For inches you add 2 inches more and if your using centimetres you add 5 centimetres more for making the chain is that right
