I've been using JCHL motorcycle tie down straps (12,000 lbs rating) for loading pins and loops for pull up bar attachments (like the pulley system I rig up this video). This is probably the cheapest diy method I know of to stacking/loading weight plates for a carabinner attachment.

THANKS MAN! I knew there had to be a simple DIY loading pin solution. You saved me the effort to think it up. Also, you can use 2 of those for the split rope tricep workout! Also, you can slide a 3' black pipe into one and DIY handle bar.

You just saved me 40 bucks thank you! I am ordering the rolling thunder grip training device from Iron Mind and it didn't even dawn on me to use the spud strap that I already own instead of ordering a loading pin from them.

Could also use 2 straps on the plate (1 on each side) so it stays more even as load plates.

Any ideas for a loading pin for plates that have you one inch holes ? (For a belt squat)

Great question. Yes, I've experimented with "Round slings" before (generally used for rigging cargo). You have to push the strap through the holes, but it works. Another cool thing about slings is that they can be used as a weighted dip belt in a pinch (not terrible as a cable attachment for pushdowns, etc either). Now that I think of it, I need to make a video on these...I'll try to put one out next week. Here's an example of what I'm talking about: amzn.to/2VvyeOu Thanks Conor!

I have a question. I'm going to be hanging the pulleys from the ceiling joists in my garage. I also want to add a pull bar. But I was just thinking, what if I used 2 of these straps hanging down, then inserted a black pipe. The advantage is that the pull up bar wouldn't have to be permanent. The only problem is that the pull up bar would not be stationary as it would be possible to swing. Do you think this would be a huge issue?

Cool idea. I really don't think it would be a huge issue. Might seeing a little more than rings, but if imagine it would be tolerable. Let me know how it goes!

@@ThreeStormFitness Was a success. I don't really have room for a power rack so I'm going to use this pull up bar which is just 2 straps hanging from clips with a bar hanging between them. I also plan on adding some pulleys that will hang from the ceiling joists. I thought it may swing too much but it really doesn't. Once you hang on, it doesn't move. Thanks for the suggestion, It saved me a lot of effort to make a pull up bar. And it will help with the pulley set up as well. I love working outside. So much better than a basement.
