So many bittersweet memories with this song. I basically listened to this album on repeat when my mom was in the ICU diagnosed with an inoperable malignant brain tumor and given a month at best to live. This song always brings me back to waking up early on the hospital room benches while she was still asleep, putting my headphones in and listening to Diary front to back while walking through the hospital and across the street in the chilly morning weather to buy us both a coffee from a nearby cafe. She's been gone for a while now, and Diary always makes me think of her, but there are a lot of pleasant feelings that come with all the melancholy at the same time. Music is a crazy thing.

They were so good so early in their career and way ahead of their time. Jeremy’s vocals man. Searing, gentle, whatever in between. How these guys don’t have books written about them is beyond me.

Radio time limits songs to 4 minutes, (preferably 3.5) the original is 4:46, so they had to cut it to get it on mtv.

I feel Nate is confined to simple progressions now with the foo fighters . this was much more experimental and enjoyable.

This is a timeless masterpiece, this classic does not get the respect it deserves

I been listening to these guys since i saw this video back in 1994.. SDRE & the band curve got me thru some tough times in the 90’s & early 2000’s. These are the Godfathers of Emo and so much more. Goldsmith is an absolute Badass on drums here. Lp2 is another great album. True unsung heroes in an-undigital, no synth, non laptop age.

Always loved this video. I love the blend of the live action and showing them in colored pencil animations.

Lilith Samejima I guess you can thank South Park's SE17 Ep. 04 entitled "Goth Kids 3: Dawn of the Posers" for that, Most people that bring it up, or troll, Have not even heard of them? until the creators decided they would make fun of the whole Goth and Emo rivalry and made this band out to be the most Emo one in existence. So sheeple are are just doing the typical following the shepard, and not stopping to think for themselves regardless if they thought different or not lol.

Jeremy was God to me back in the 90s Their first album was like a bible to me I hope this genius is happy wherever hi is at

I believe Sunny Day was the best EMO-INDIE ever, if there is such a genre. If there isn't, these guys just created their own genre. That's how awesome they were and and still are.

So glad these guys are touring later this year. :)

I think it's pretty sad

I am a big fan of the composition and energy of this song, captured me instantly.

I was taking up the drums the first time I heard this song. When I was done listening, I thought _I am going to teach myself how to play like THAT_

This sounds like music! Great song, great band

God I love this song. I my dad introduced me to sunny day when I was like 10 now one of my favorites
