Brother, you had me at The Wire. I started my Prosecutorial career in Baltimore (though I escaped quickly). Thanks for the lead, on Episode 1 now. Hope your world is spinning better now.

It's definitely nowhere near as good as the Wire, but it has a similar feel in that it focuses on both sides of the conflict.

I spy some good books there behind you: Book of the New Sun, Aubrey-Maturin series, Hyperion series, LotR, Jack Vance. I know you are not a booktuber but would love a bookshelf tour sometime. I've spent an embarrassingly amount of time watching book shelf videos in the past.

I started watching fauda per your recommendation, such a great show. Last time when you recommend the last dance I also enjoyed it. Your taste is probably very similar to your viewers so that's why we like your content so much

Super late to the party, but I enjoyed Washington a lot during the times I came on vacation. Seattle is a cool city, and I hope to do the whole Nirvana tour there at some point. The band wasn't anywhere on my radar when I went in 2011-2012. I'm sure Seattle has changed a lot since that time.

If using the acronym saves you a significant number of syllables, I say it's a net positive. Everyday carry vs. EDC is only a two syllable savings. I'm not sure if that qualifies as significant. Maybe EDC really is a bit of a silly acronym.

  • @stuffandthingsyoutube

That's a good way of looking at it! I can't think of anything off of the top of my head right now, but I KNOW I've noticed abbreviations/acronyms in the past that actually add to the syllable count.

@@stuffandthingsyoutube if it has more than one W, it's probably a fairly inefficient acronym. WWJD fits the bill.

People do take the EDC mindset and hobby too far but a flashlight is 100% handy. I used to have to carry one for work and now never not have one. So handy. I never need a pen. If I do it’s a sharpie. I carry a small pistol most days (mostly because I collect pre-WW2 European police pistols), a keychain size leatherman, and a small flashlight. Total is less than 26oz.

Bradley, As a recent subscriber I've been catching up on some of your older videos. Just watched your Lowering the Martin Strings. Would that be a Mia Doi Todd song you're strumming at the beginning? Nice playing. I've had the 000C-15E Mahogany for 10 years plus. Great guitar. Mahogany gives that 40's look. Sorry for being off subject here. Carry on the good work.

@@stuffandthingsyoutube Bradley, Mia Doi Todd is a female artist in the Joni Mitchell vein, from the West Coast. Check her KZread of the song Independence Day; similar to your strumming on your "lowering the strings" episode. By the way, how's that Martin? Wouldn't mind seeing you play as an intro to an upcoming episode. Take care.

Interesting off piste topics and "things" today. I think you off regular topic vlogs do well as you get into them well. I might look at Fouda, Fooda, Fouler, Fowler sometime. Camera was fine btw. I dislike Working sometimes as I have to oversee and sometimes do that type of work, even so, I still watch them. :->

Bradley, what the heck is "EDC?". Never heard it before. If you don't like acronyms, stay out of South Carolina! They are inescapable down there. A couple of blocks away from me is Central Park, designed by Frederick Law Olmsted, who designed THE Central Park. The city recently replaced several walkways within the park and I followed their work. And thanks to you, I understood what they were doing. My favorite memory of concrete work, though, goes back more than 50 years. The summer before my freshman year of college, the campus "Quad" had been covered with criss-crossing sidewalks. Walking along one day, I looked down and at a corner of one of the squares, someone had inscribed the word, "NAKED." Timeless folk art, if I've ever seen it. Great show today!

Bradley, while the show might be entertaining, please keep in mind that it is propaganda entertainment. Palestinians are mostly portrayed as bloodthirsty terror*sts; regaining their homeland and ending the occupation are never mentioned. The show omits politics and history entirely. It’s an apology show for Israel’s actions against Palestinians. Try watching “Salt of this Sea” and “Farha”. For documentaries, I recommend “Walled Off” and “5 Broken Cameras”.
