Marshall I have a Seiko I would like for you to service. It’s a 4006 bell matic bought in 1969 in Japan as a gift to me from my brother. It is running and all original except for the crystal replaced in the 70’s. I’m 80 yrs old and want to get it serviced so I can give it to one of my sons or grandson. This is special watch for me and I don’t want to send to Seiko since I’ve seen only bad reviews. You’re one of the best craftsmen I’ve seen on KZread and really want you to service the watch.

You inspired me to venture into the world of horology, and in the wee hours of this morning my first all original build was born. It has a Seiko NH36A heart beating inside a 40mm Sub style stainless steel case. With parts ordered from eBay, and your "anyone can do it" inspiration I now have a nice watch that is all my own. Thanks again, keep up the great work.

Shut Up and Play the Hits is one of my absolute favourite films, and the voiceover ofJames nervously saying to the crowd "I hope it's OK, I'm wearing- I'm wearing my dad's watch" right before the band launches into their last song has always stuck with me, so when I heard you say "James Murphy" my immediate thought was "wait, surely not *that* James Murphy?", and then when you confirmed, I could barely believe it. Hearing the full backstory of the watch makes me want to see the movie again.

This watch has seen a better day. Glad somebody knows how to restore it. I would never know how to put this back together.

Idk why I always get obsessed with this channel only around Christmas when I’m home but you got me with the 54 Rolex in the summer!

I like how this guy is telling in the beginning that we can probably do the same work as well, and then he is bringing 20 different unique tools to work on the watch and 10 more rare components that are obsolete&expensive&hard to find and he had to buy few donor parts to get them. That is really impressive work and somewhat antique watch to work on!

Man, this is so cool. You delved deep into a classic and got it working mint. This watch is going to last for many years to come. The story, the craftmanship. Unreal my friend.

Great work Marshall! You are such a gifted communicator and storyteller. This channel is the cream of the crop. You've single handedly generated an interest for me in watches, particularly vintage rolexes. The more understated the better, for me. In my humble opinion, this might be the most handsome piece you have featured.

It's a blessing in disguise to get a watch with lots of issues. That's how you learn. Then people will trust you with their time pieces. Great work!

Thank you Marshall for your videos. The work you do is awesome and the encouragement for others to persue this craft and hobby is humbling. Personally I would love to do this but watching others work is one thing but on the other I have an attention disorder where I can"t even read a paragraph one time. But you do great work and your manner of teaching and voice is top shelf,,,thanks
