My sump pump system has an exposed perimeter "skirt" that sticks up about 6" off the basement floor and has dimples that keep it away from the wall. I can't find anything else like it online as most systems are filled in flush with the wall. Do you know the purpose of this and what that skirt is called? I can't find anything about it online.

@@philipwilliamshomeinspecti4665 Thanks! Seems like it's a big advantage when installing a perimeter system. It's not the prettiest, but strange that most people don't install it this way.
