Koji Kitao was notorious for being stiff in the ring and shooting on his opponents. Kitao had reached the highest rank of Yokozuna in Sumo and was also a black belt in Karate. He probably thought he was invincible until he met Haku.

I think in Japan they just love to get super physical. Like Takayama thanksed Don Fri for beating the helk out of him. He said "thank you because of you now everybody knows who I am"

Haku did this in the most professional way. He kept the business safe by using the dropkick but also made his point with this prick. Haku is the man.

How anyone looks at Haku and thinks “yeah I need to fuck with this guy tonight” astounds me more than anything on this planet

A drunk good-ol-boy decided he had had enough of Mr. Plezing's heel antics and came over the rail on him. Mike grabbed this numbnuts by the collar of the shirt and gave him three WORKING punches before chucking him back over the rail. Numbnuts goes to the promoter complaining that Mike beat him up. The promoter said "You don't seem to have any black eyes or busted nose or anything. How much have you had to drink?" Numbnuts slinks off as the promoter and the senior ref laugh. That's how incredible a worker Mike was. He fake hit a guy and made the drunk bastard believe ANYWAY. We miss you so bad, Mike. Love you, brother.

Kitao was striking Haku with the knife edge of the hand near the neck area deliberately trying to hurt him. Wrestling chops are done with the palm on the opponent's chest so that it creates a sound but doesn't injure your opponent. Kitao was being a real a$$hole here.

Everyone stiffed in shoot shows. Certain Japanese wrestling companies were "shoot" shows, meaning they made contact, made it stiff as frozen shit, only the end was discussed, the rest of the match was close to real.

With his reputation on the internet now, if Haku could still wrestle he’d be main-eventing huge cards against Brock and Roman.

I wouldn't go after Haku with a chainsaw.

Yes and no. Not every single time. He took liberties with smaller wrestlers all the time. Jericho said he did it to him. But its great seeing when it backfired on him.

Props to both of them tbh. When Haku switched it up, props to the sumo guy for just taking the receipt. Props to Haku for keeping it professional and using the dropkick to make his statement. It didn't look messy like most shoot stuff that happens in the ring.

@@factfiend1000 yeah when alot of people were asking why isn't honky in .. he had come out a while later in a shoot interview saying how you had to sign a claus and he did all of his own bookings and really didn't want them getting involved .. at least then anyway ..when he got a bit older and probably didn't want the responsibility anymore ... he said ok . i'll sign .. ended up in the hall of fame like immediately
