Last summer I got covid and while fevered and sweating I thought I will never make it through hot flashes of menopause. I could not stand the synthetic of my comforter against my skin. So I changed all my bed linens to cotton. Cotton sheets, two cotton quilts that I layer depending on the season. All in white and ivory with one being a floral cameo print. Now looking for a cotton throw. Your videos are such an inspiration. ❤

The wicker trunk and suitcase complete the bed to my eye . It has a more bedroom cozy feel. My favorite decor are the sweet sailboats with your grandmother's hankies. What a treasure.

I would open the basket that is on top of the suitcase and place some decor inside of it.😊

Love this so much. It reminds me of the late 80's early 90's Ralph Lauren layered look. I have been slowly collecting vintage plaids and florals for a bedroom I am redoing.

Hi Sarah, my typical Saturday night after work…. Love what you did with your bedroom this summer.! This is one of my favorites. One trip to Brimfield and you’re decorating like a New Englander. Makes me miss my roots. At first I wasn’t sure about all the colors on the bed but once you put it all together, it really looks great and gives it that summary beach vibe. One thing I’ve learned from watching you the past few years we can use the same items over and over and just change where we place them in our homes. Maybe add a few things here or there and end up with a whole new look. The mantle looks sweet also.

I think the red throw blanket looked really good. I am not a fan of the wool one. Love all the accessories you have to use. I like the chest and luggage at the end of the bed. I do not like the way it stands out in front of the fire place. I do love the letters across the fireplace what a great idea, I am going to try to find some old letters, my decor in my home is all red and blue so when it comes to memorial or labor or 4th of July It all goes well. Love the colors red and blue together it is so peaceful and makes you smile. Your room is one you would find in my home.

I'm not liking the size of the trunk in front of the fireplace either. It's like "the elephant in the room" sitting in front of the fireplace. I would like to see the beautiful mirror turned on its side in front of the fireplace with baskets of flowers or plants in front of it. Put the trunk and suitcase where the mirror was located. But then, I'm the person who is exhausted by the end of the day bc I've moved all of the furniture to every possible place in the room, only to end up with 90% of it back where it was to begin with.

@@ginamaria2579 Imo the fireplace is an architectural feature and putting something so big in front of it looks like you’re trying to hide it but not accomplishing that making it look unnatural, nothing to do with the season. You don’t have to live in Siberia to use your fireplace throughout the year.

So pretty ❤...I always use the linens bags for shoes and for holding dirty lingerie when I travel.

I used to work in a store that sold Peacock Alley bed linens. The coverlets were quilted also as the beautiful one in the video. I was curious because I was wondering if this was one of those regional things where something is simply called something else in different areas of the country. It doesn’t matter really what it is called it’s just a curiosity I have. With that being said I agree it is very beautiful.

Oh where did you buy your bed frame? We have a guest bedroom that is next to our Victorian themed music room. It is not a super large room. We have two antique dressers and a small chair in it. We weren't going to have a headboard and footboard on the bed due to space; however it seems strange not to. I think just having a headboard would be great but don't know where to look for one. I think a rod iron look like you have would keep it from looking small. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!!!

I can't thank you enough for sharing where you purchased your bed frame. Both my husband and I were so pleased at your timely response. My husband said, let's buy it. We ordered it and it arrived Saturday. It is as beautiful "in person" as it is in your video and perfect for our bed. He is going to put it together this week. You are truly a blessing to those of us with NO EYE to decorating.

Brooklinen's website is so confusing and moves a lot with pop-ups. Very annoying. I want to get the colored stripes and I cannot find it. It's a great way to lose a prospective customer.
