That was amazing!! You could tell Tiffany was so happy! It’s so important to have a relaxing space for anyone but being a single mom is hard. Very nice loved the color of the accent wall, not really big on the color of the bedding or the style but that's just my opinion it was quite amazing what you did for your friend

Highly recommend Beyond Paint for furniture DIY. It’s an all-in-one paint and all you need to do for prep is thoroughly clean the piece. This is awesome though- such a great transformation and reason behind it ❤️

Yes! Updated hardware can completely transform a piece of furniture all on its own!

Oh my gosh! Finally! Someone that doesn't use tape and cloth and all this crazy stuff to paint! I feel blessed that I have a steady hand and patience. And very little cleanup! But I do tend to get a few more drops on myself and on the floor than you do! Great video! Thanks

The good thing about painting over hard floors is that if you do have a drip, it’s pretty easy clean up!

Hey! Just wanted to say how awesome it is that you are taking action to help your cousin after what she’s been through. As someone who has gone through something similar, hearing people say “your so strong” “I don’t know how you do it” feels almost like an insult because we did not choose to HAVE to be “strong” and can sometimes put pressure on the person. The best thing you can do instead of asking what you can help with or “let me know if you need help” is just take action “look I’m bringing dinner for you and your family on Thursday, so you don’t have to worry about it”. I haven’t even finished watching the video and I can just imagine how your cousin felt after you did this for her and the relief of having a space that feels like it’s hers 💕

Hi Megan! I love your videos, this one turned out absolutely amazing! I was wondering if you have any tips or videos on how to arrange a bedroom and workspace combo. I have a 10x10 bedroom and having to squeeze in a desk & chair has made the room very cluttered. I wish there was a way to arrange it so that people didn't see my bed on calls. Thank you in advance!

I don’t think I have any clear, easy to follow, tips aside from rearrange until you find a configuration you like. If you can’t find a comfortable arrangement, declutter some items.

Looks nice but as a good practice we don't step on someone's bedding with our feet after making their bed with fresh linen... We first hang the things on the wall and then make a fresh bed... Nobody should sleep where our feet have stood, it's very dirty and unhygienic...

@@chandracox6814 so you'd be happy if sweaty feet were wiped on your pillow and then you put your face on it? It's cool if you do but I am sure than in practice everyone would rather this not to be the case

I was interested until you painted the dresser. After watching multiple videos on painting furniture; I was put off by your prep work. Stripping or sanding the piece isn't enough. Tannins can still bleed through. A primer for this type of project is necessary. And wherever there is damage to the piece; it needs to be repaired; not just painted over. Chalk paint is great but doesn't disguise issues with the woodwork itself. Apply wood putty (or something similar) to the chipped or uneven sections, leave it to dry then sand it down so it is no longer noticeable. If you aren't stripping, then sand the whole piece so you have a smooth surface to start with. A couple extra simple steps makes it look professionally done; instead of a DIY project. The globs of paint that weren't brushed out; the blue seeping thru; the rough finish due to it not being sanded. Sorry. This was a total fail in my book.

@@lovinglifeasmegan It says I appreciate a job done right. If you are going to go to the trouble of refinishing/painting a piece of furniture; do it right. As I said; it's only a couple extra steps to have a more professional finish. You have a channel and people listen to you. Don't cut corners; show them the proper way to do something. Your final product was sloppy; I'm sorry. And you need to learn to take criticism better. If I'm off the mark; so be it. But if you want to improve and increase your channel; take all feedback (good and bad) with a grain of salt. This wasn't an attack on you as a person; just a suggestion on how to improve your skills.

I agree that this makeover was done in a hurry, and at times, her technique was sloppy. Never cut corners just to make videos. The drawer pulls cheapen the look of the dresser. But, Tiffany liked it, and that is what truly matters.

Megan it’s beautiful and like you said a piece of calm in the chaos. What a blessing you are to do this for her!!

Happy New Year!

So great to refurbish the dresser - cost effective and recycle. Lots of great knobs at second hand store for cost effective design change. Definitely sanding before painting, or primer coat but live and learn! Also good to mention about returning the dresser natural state with stain etc. I always use tape when painting as I'm not a neat / tidy painter LOL. I applaud your efforts and willingness to DIY!

This is such a beautiful thing u are doing for Tiffany... I can relate to her story. I'm a newly single mom and life has been tough un many ways. I literally just purchased my first home it was a fixer upper im doing it all alone and I'm doing my best with what I have to create a home for my daughter and I. Its been frustrating but I do know I'm not alone and God is guiding me through and life will get better. I'm vlogging the entire process.

This is the prettiest color of green, I'd use that color.

That was a total transformation! You did a really good job. I always wondered why you painted walls using up and down strokes, but you always managed to get everything to come out looking good, so decided it was just your way. So nice of you to give her such a beautiful chair and ottoman along with your work. And yes to the Lull brand. I purchased a Lull mattress, mattress protector and pillow during quarantine (May 2020). Lull was fabulous about refunding my money when I returned the pillow (which was wonderful in a number of ways, but had too high of a loft for me). I thought the mattress protector was expensive when I ordered it, but once it arrived I understood that the quality was super and the price was fine. I was a hot sleeper before my Lull, and I feel and sleep so much better with it. I am glad to see that they have a metal frame. I think that will be my next purchase.
