Only non-Armwrestlers think this means something. Experienced pullers can see Levan, Eremes or Irakli kept in good position to where they kept in their power to pin. Devon however was nice enough to give him everything and let this guy get in good position. Of course in competition, Devon does not give anybody anything, especially when he knows the opponent is stronger than him.

I've watched Devon for years and although he does at times deliberately put him self in a losing position to give his sparring partners a chance, I've never seen him lose this easily. They guy literally through him across the table multiple times. It wasn't until he was gassed and did left hand Devon had the tools to hang in there. I love Devon but realistically this 100 percent does show the strength gap between Devon and Levan. Pains me to say it but Devon will probably get wrecked.

Devon is the Thomas Shelby of Armwrestling 🙌

Not really trolling or hiding, he just tries to get and give something with every person he pulls. He likes his opponents who are not a real threat to him to come away feeling better about themselves: "wow DEVON said I was strong!, I'm gonna train even harder now!" . He's also very careful to avoid injuring the other person. That little bit of explosive pin that Levan did wasn't helpful in any way to either of them, but could have hurt someone who's so much weaker.

look at shuhail's starting position, and compare it with the others... he clearly starts vs devon with his body, arm and wrist in his favour, but not with the others... devon trains like this... giving an advantage and only using strength... that's how you gain stamina and practice...

Peeps gotta remember here this was Devons first Armwrestling session in awhile and it was literally a day after he got beat up by Thor in a boxing match. It doesn't really tell us much

We dont know how exhausted Devon was, plus this was shortly after hix boxing match where he didnt pull for 2 month. He always lets his pronation kinda loose during sparing sessions and lets the opponent get a good position, but that was in the past, latest videos show that Devon's arm is locked and hard as rock against his strongest sparring partners. Probably still not enough to touch Levan (I cant even imagine what kind of sorcery would have to happen in order for someone to pin Levan nowadays), but I bet my dirty pants that Devon could now beat anyone from this video, and very likely be an even opponent with Vitali Laletin, where I can imagine that Vitali is stronger and likely winning first 1-2 rounds, but then Devon might take over after tiring him out, Devon's kingsmove is technically brilliant and if you dont know the technique around it or lose the strength to transition to a press, then Devon keep winning and turn even 0:3 match to 4:3.

You should not work out with someone that risks you to get injured just to satisfy his ego...

people don't understand that there are different muscle fibers, and different energy sources, and different kinds of strength. When you're gifted in one way, like explosive strength, and your levers are made in a way that you can exert this kind of force onto an object (put toss), you are to a degree a strong bench presser. You press that 300kg a few times but you dont press 400kg. So only to a degree, there is a conversion, but this is not applicable to the top field. When you are specialized to isometric (holding) strength like devon, this is a very special capability, you absorb the 1rm of an explosive top roller and then you diminish the ATP and Ion regeneration, his system switches to metabolization and usage of other fibers and he is suddenly in a disadvantage. It is nothing you can fix by training because in the top field you already compete in the far-out tail of the normal distribution in other words with highly specialized freaks. Levan is a freak in his niche and Devon in his niche.

But he’s old and these new generation of freak armwrestlers coming out of eastern europe is next level genes and next level drugs, no amount of work ethic, reps and pancakes can beat that.
