What I usually do when boys really jammed in there is fill the hopper with water back at the yard, connect up the hose, and push it out. Be very careful doing this and have the end of the hose dilly secured and not aimed at anything critical (eg: humans).

Where does the ball gets stopped at the other side? Wouldn't the S valve slice that in pieces if it didn't have some sort of retainer?

5” ball will literally always stop in the swing-gate where it transitions from 6” to 7”. When sucking a second sponge with water in front of it is where you need the pin-stopper, otherwise as the water in front of that second sponges flushes through, it will carry that first ball right into the hopper with it (where it will very likely get chopped).

@@canadianconcretepumper1979 why would it stop there being a larger diameter? Is the pump outlet port 7" and then transitions to 6"? Sorry, I'm a noob.

Yes, outlet side of a Putz style S-tube is 7", the transition door of the "swing-gate" reduces down further from 7"-6". Once the 5" ball drops down the 6"-5" or "cannon" reducer at the driver side of the hopper and passes through the 6" high-pressure elbow it loses suction as well as momentum and stops in the transition door (usually directly underneath of the prime-port, if your transition door is optioned with one).

@@canadianconcretepumper1979 Thanks man. Best videos and attitude towards work out there. Learning a lot, not only about concrete pumping but also the attitude you have when facing challenges.

@@styzr Attitude is quite honestly what makes or beaks operators in this industry. The “hot-heads” typically don’t find much success and/or longevity in the concrete pumping game. Thank you for watching the channel my man 🙏

Good they aren't blue balls. The sound of freed balls after a job well done. Sounds like they work well in tandem. And can even do it again and again til you're satisfied

I know they do make them in green. I think that blue could hit a little too close to home for most of us pump operator types 😂😂😂
