    @@SpeedAddict731 Congrats man .I was in the same place back in 07I wanted one really bad and fast forward to 2020 I.I am lucky to own a 08 gt500 built and owned by Bob Tasca the drag racer.Well he had his dealer do every upgrade you could think of without changing the look on the outside. Then in 14 I bought 07 427 edition convertible super snake l.Then in 16 I bought a 10 grabber blue super snake making 900hp straight from Shelby American. Lastly I bought a 07 Shelby gt that I drove everyday day until recent.So dreams can come true. I still go in my garage and can't believe what I see.I also just bound a 04 terminator and a vibrant red 93 cobra..I am a very lucky person.

    I got an 07 with 108k this past year for 16500 clean title. No it doesn't have super low miles and it was a driver it certainly isn't perfect but it is still a very nice car and a steal at the price I gave I just got lucky. I believe I found it at the perfect time when they were at the bottom of their market value and it seems since I was shopping a year ago they have started to be more pricey im seeing cars going several grand higher on average than what they were a year ago. Although the car was a little higher on milage than alot of Shelbys 108k isnt exactly HIGH milage for a 2007 model car. Just has 2.6 pulley full catless exhaust minus headers, jlt cold air and twin 65 tbody put down 550 through 410s. Its quick for what it is I've ran some mid to low 8s 60-130 I think that is solid for the mods and power it has. That is with a dragy. This was in 40 degree Temps but 4k da which is terrible lol. Mine was the cheapest clean title gt500 I've ever seen. People get 10k out of the driveline lol. I seen alot of lower milage ones in the mid 20s when I was looking but now like I said they seem to be selling several grand higher across the board vs a year or so ago. *edit* I have several videos of mine on my channel if anyone wants to check it out.

  • @midnight347

    @midnight347

    Жыл бұрын

    @@norgepalm7315 sorry for late response but clean title. Car has a few rock chips nothing crazy interior is solid overall it just had higher miles than alot of them at 108k and it has a bent tie rod end and chewed up tire so that helped me get it cheap but it only costed couple hundred bucks to fix that stuff. They've went up now and finding a deal like mine is all but impossible you can still find 100k mile cars for low to mid 20s though. Don't be scared of a few miles if the car is in good shape and seems to have been taken care of and maintained. Mine is now at 125k almost 3 years later and it has a gen3r on it now doing 750 wheel. These cars are stout as long as you take care of them and maintain them and also uses best fuel possible and watch rpm 6500 max especially if you're making some good power like over 600-700 wheel it's even more important. I'm on 93/boostane (100 octane) and I limit mine to 6500 max that is if I'm going all out doing a quarter mile or dragy hit or racing someone. These engines don't like to Rev on stock bottom end so if you are mindful of that and giving it as much octane as you can along with taking care of the car you're golden even at 100+k you can save significant money going with a car that has a few miles. These is especially true if you're planning on modding the thing anyways like alot of us.

    Beautiful car......I had a silver/black 2008 years back. First advice I would give your friend is to get that 12 year old rubber off and put some Michellin PS4's.......made all the difference in the world on traction and handling on my 2012, almost transformed the car.

    @@SpeedAddict731 I am currently at 640 rwhp, and I do not drag race. I take the GT500 on some road trips, sometimes get caught in rain and the PS4's I am impressed with. The Michellin's felt like I added 2k in suspension mods over the lousy Goodyear F1's. Your 2019 GT I would imagine loves the PS4's. Traction from rolling start or even 2nd for that matter isn't the greatest as you know when you get that much hp/tq to the wheels, and the 3.73 gears don't help as well. I would like to hear your opinion of the Toyo's in a non-drag environment if you get the chance. Next mod for me next Spring is to try 305's in the rear and 285's in the front to see if that helps traction some. As you know, once you start modding these GT500's it's always something next coming up to change to compliment everything you have spent the $ on. Cheers.

    John Stephens good to hear. I have the drag setup for when I go drag racing I just want a better tire for the street all around over the F1’s. The 19 does fine but it doesn’t have the hp or tq that the GT500 does, glad to hear they do good on a GT500 with some power. If I go with the R888’s I’ll do a video on how they do. Still got some life left in the F1’s.

At 2500 Rpm, immediately changed oil and filter, (Motorcraft filter, Driven 5W30 break in oil) made second 15 min. run no troubles at all, changed only the filter. Took it to Bill at Arizona Elite Motorsports and Dyno....... Numbers on E-85 were 502 rear wheel HP. Bill said his dyno does not rate HP as high as other guys out here, he uses a Mustang Dyno. Basically told "F" the numbers, but that I was the highest rear wheel HP N/A Mustang that has been on his dyno. Soooo then I drove it. Its insane. It feels like a 550 RW HP car, my mechanic test drove it and says it scares him, he got out with his hand shaking.....lol. before I left I asked bill if it was mean, he said, what do you mean. To which I replied, will I be able to fuck with Hell Cats..... he said your going to hurt a lot of Hell Cats feelings...So we will see. Its going to take getting used to a bit on my part. Thats a good deal this is exactly what i am talking about thats a great car in great condition. Its a bargain. Ive seen some 30k mile svtpp 11-12s for around 30 thats about the best deal ive seen on those and ive seen 07-09s for 25ish with pretty low miles. There is about a 5k difference all things equal between these and 11-12s. I want the 11-12 because of nicer interior, aluminum block and i kind of prefer the body although i like these too. Do you think an 11-12 like yours is worth the 5k more approx or should i look more into these older ones? 25 is more in my price range but 30 is doable too if its truely worth it i have to decide if i think it is lol. I have plans for fbo anyways possibly a blower swap down the road so im not concerned about the 500 vs 550 thing once you do intake and tune theyre basically the same power wise. The 11-12 has the aluminum block and knock sensors and a factory wideband so i do like that about them. I like the nicer interior and stuff of the newer one but i kind of like the rawness of the older one. Im stuck lol. I want the car for cruising and going to shows and doing pulls on the road like you guys were and also taking it to the drag strip as well. Not too concerned with handling itll be more of a drag build i have a daily fiesta st for my handling needs lol. Thats why im having a hard time deciding because the better handling of the newer one isn't too much a concern although it wouldnt be a bad thing for sure. Interested to hear your thoughts ken. This car is awesome

    Michael Harris that’s a hard question. I gave 36 for my car with 28k miles on it. But it’s a svtpp with recaros and Nav. Was on the high end of the scale of what they are worth but to get the exact car I wanted and not have to travel to get it, it was worth it. If your getting it for a drag build I say 07/09. As you said it’s more in your price range. The 5-10k you would spend on a 11-12 you could have the 07-09 rolling. Same predicament I was in choosing between the 11/12 and the 13/14. I could swing a 13/14 but the 11/12 was more what I wanted to spend. Can’t go wrong with any GT500. They all look great and are very sweet rides. Go with what your gut says.

    Damn…prices sure have shot up (like all cars). I am looking at a 2008 with 3k miles and it is 42k.

    Yea I have been looking at the GT500’s but man the prices are crazy. But that’s all Mustangs right now. But a 2008 with only 3k miles don’t come around everyday for sale.

    @@SpeedAddict731 I forget what clutch comes stock in those years. But the balancer is heavy as hell and can pop the keyway and the trans coupler breaks the output shaft
