STUNNED by Juan Gabriel | Reaction to Amor Eterno Live

Hi Habibati!
My apologies about the watermark, it was the only way that I could upload the video,
This is the FIRST time I react to a Spanish language song and I gotta be honest...this one got the waterworks going. This man's voice, his presence, his charisma truly stand above the rest. Rarely have I seen or heard a more sincere and heartfelt performance. It's no wonder this man is a legend in Latin America. Hope you guys enjoy this one as much as I did. Let me know if you want more reactions for songs by Juan Gabriel or any other Latin American artists!
Have an amazing day! بحبكن

Can you imagine being only 4 years old, and your mom leaving you in an orphanage ? The pain, the feeling of abandonment, not understanding why ! When a kid needs all the love, and hugs, the protection. Growing up alone and then finding out in life that from all the kids she had, she only left you. It doesn't matter the reason, it was the void he had in his heart. He was able to express his emotions through his song writtings. After enduring a hard childhood, he always loved his mom, and looked for her approval. Makes extremately sad! As a mother I would never leave my child. Dammmm now I'm crying !

I'm not sure if the person who recommended this video to you explained the meaning of the song. JG wrote it for his mother who passed away, and this is almost like a prayer about how, while they had a difficult relationship, she still misses her and one day they'll be together again. I'm Mexican and it's very common to hire mariachi bands to play this song at funerals. A lot of mariachi bands gathered outside Staples Center in Los Angeles and played this song when Kobe Bryant passed away. It's something about our Mexican culture where music is the best vehicle to express our feelings, even the sad ones.

Juan Gabriel was left at an Orphanage in Ciudad Juarez at the age of 4 yrs old. He sold tortillas to make some money. He wrote the song "No Tengo Dinero". She had other kids but only left him. He wrote "Amor Eterno" for her. He lived his life longing for her approval.

"I feel compelled to write this on every Juan Gabriel reaction video of amor Eterno. Going by this song you might think he had a good and loving mother, and the tragedy behind this song is that that wasn’t the case. He lived in an abusive household, his mother rejected him and failed to protect him. Let him almost die after been severely beaten and he might’ve died if his aunt hadn’t taken him out of there. He grew up and when he had the means he did right by his mom despite her never loving him as a mother should love his son. Bought the house where she worked as a maid for her to live there. To her last days he did right by her but by all accounts they relationship was never mended due to her continuing to reject him. And for him to sing “though I have a clear conscience I know I could’ve done more for you” just breaks your heart to know what a beautiful man he was, looking for his mothers love and not turning his back on her despite her rejection."

When you say his voice is “crying”, YES!!!!! This song for his mother was one that he didn’t record at first cuz it was so close to his heart and he didn’t think he would get through the song. He had his friend and fellow singer Rocío Durcál (also great) record it first. This song, the lyrics rip your heart out after the loss of a loved one. “ what I wouldn’t give to have never had your eyes close.” 😭😭😭😭 His audience knew EVERY SONG!!!! I would have loved to have been able to see him perform!

I want to thank you for all that you said regarding Juan Gabriel and his music. You're absolutely right, this music does not exist anymore. Juan Gabriel is the #1 singer in Latin America, I can honestly say that when he sang this specific song in concert the first time there was not one dry eye that did not shed tears when he sang. Not only is it a heartfelt song but since he sang it to his mom who had passed away it makes it even more gut wrenching in hearing it especially to all of us that have lost our mothers in death. Beautiful song indeed I can never sing it without crying because I sing it for my grandmother (my mom's mom) and when I sing to my Mom since both have passed away. Once again thank you for the beautiful notations that you have given this artist and his song, and to bad that this music is of old🖤

This song is a powerful and sad song, and yes it is about his mother whom he misses since she passed away. So he wrote in complete devotion and dedication for the love he had for his mother. This song has been a part of the Latino home for many years and it is usually played when mothers pass away. it was a favorite among entire families and very well-known and loved, but we had two options to listen to it and both are phenomenal. Rocio Durcal a Spanish singer from Spain does a cover of it so beautifully maybe even better than Juan Gabriel's version but to each their own taste. Juan Gabriel is a household name in most Mexican homes as well as most Latinos around the world, he does have hundreds of amazing songs. His real name is Alberto Aguilera Valadez and uses Juan Gabriel as his stage name, This damn song is very hard to listen to nowadays or since my mother passed away 9 years ago it just kills me and start to ball like a big baby but don't care they are beautiful memories of my mother and this song, as well as most of his songs. I agree with you about not having the same substance in singers nowadays, especially the mainstream media garbage and the crap that is being pushed down the sheeples throats. I know you don't mean that about Morisette. she too is just the same about sharing her soul and heart with strong emotion and passion so I strongly recommend her cover of Gary Valenciano's song "Could You be Messiah" kzread.info/dash/bejne/mWuaw5myepfJm7A.html this is a very powerful performance where it literally breaks her and begins to cry

We couldn’t watch our cartoons or anything. I missed my mom so much I was so homesick. One night, I was laying in bed trying to fall asleep. Down the hall my grandma was listening to this song in the living room and I just started crying. The sadness in his voice and my loneliness overtook my soul. One of the loneliest times in my life.

He utilizes this “cry” element similar to flamenco (he is wearing a Spanish bullfighter jacket). This cry element was brought to Spain through the Gitano culture (Gypsy/Romani) from the Middle East and the south of Asia. It evolved into flamenco in Spain and then it made its way to Latin America where was absorbed. Juan Gabriel made plenty of use of this “cry” element in his voice to express despair, anguish and sadness

I LOVE YOU! Great video 😘.

Hello, new subscriber here. 😊 Just finished watching your reaction to Alice in Chains. "Down in a hole." Your honest, emotional reaction to "El Gran Divo" shows what a unique, powerful, talented singer-songwriter, Juan Gabriel, was. There will never be another like him. Everything you said is so true about this legend. 🤴🏾 Would love to see your reaction to "Hasta que te conoci." Love your respect, passion, and connection to music. 🙏🏽 Blessings to you and your channel. 😃 🌻💗
