Holy Week in Malaga Spain, where Diana was born. The Flamenco music has inspiration from the Arab World as Muslims invaded the Iberian Peninsula around the 8th century. This is why the mixture of music in both countries resonate so closely. Excellent reaction. Señor Arabe.

I was speechless when watching him live in concert, I was there with my mom and grandma and can't help but cry every time I remember that day, he was amazing and my grandma was so happy, beyond any kind of joy I have ever witnesssed.... I miss her so much, but I'm grateful that we had the change to spend such a special time together. Juan Gabriel had such an impact in so many people, his art will live forever in our hearts. ❤

El contexto es la Semana Santa en Málaga, Andalucía, España. Es una fiesta religiosa, en la que se une también el folklore. Esto es, no necesitas ser cristiano, ni siquiera creyente para participar. Es la parte más importante de la cultura andaluza. Miles y miles de personas acompañan a imágenes religiosas, Vírgenes y Cristos durante toda la Semana Santa en todos los pueblos de Andalucía. Yeah, that is Banderas, he’s from Málaga and he was home for holy week, apparently 😂. Holy week is the week where we celebrate the last week of Jesus Christ’s life in Spain with these parades of images of scenes from his last moments, as well as the virgin Mary. This particular video is from holy Thursday, the one day of the week when we don’t sleep and the parade continues on through the night, as Jesus also didn’t sleep and instead spent the night on the olive grove. It’s also the night when women traditionally wear mourning garb (the “mantilla”, that heavy black lace veil she’s wearing), because it’s the start of mourning for Christ’s death. She’s singing a very heartfelt adoration to the virgin Mary, expressing the sadness and compassion for the suffering that “the queen of the skies” will endure for her son and for the whole of humanity.

yep Banderas. (edit) yes, u got it is a kind of funeral song, it's holy week and it's lamenting Crist passing, in this case Mary's pain is the theme. Religious folk song. Wiki entry on "Saeta (flamenco)" explains it better.
