For lips: Vaseline at night. For makeup removal: unscented lotion, then wash face. For kids toys: rotate or exchange toys with friends. Don’t shop in thrift stores, not good deals. Costco/sam’s: prepare food, freeze 1/2. Fruits getting bad, freeze for smoothies. Vegs, turn into tomato souce for pasta. Buy in bulk, not space? Use those spaces on your kitchen cabinets that you can’t reach as food storage. Keep a track in exp dates. Don’t have Costco card? Ask a friend to buy you $50 gift cards. You can buy without membership and pay for the difference if went over $50. Don’t use debit cards, always cc and always pay your cc full balance, never pay interest fees and use those cc benefits.

The final one about credit cards is a perfect tip. You can build your credit score and earn reward points, which is basically free money. Just always, always pay your statement in full every month.

This year I'm also being more intentional in not planning so much so far ahead. Believe it or not, this helps me save money as planning always to go somewhere means more laundry, more gas spent, and more impulse buying. Now, I find myself spending a third less per week than in previous years. Well, except on groceries; inflation there is ridiculous!

Always get delicious food while not wasting time going to grocery store and cooking 🥰 I got into reselling my old clothes that actually now paying for my credit card bills! It’s like a sport to me now 😂 i am always looking for things to sell and get rid of at home and loving how clean my house is with less stuff i don’t need 🎉🎉woohoo

I agree with the groceries. Going from living in a house with 3 people and now to living alone again, I have to change the way I shop for food. I cannot afford to eat out often so I still have to cook at home so I have to change the way I cook. It is a struggle. As for the fast fashion, I have started asking myself if I have any need for it. I have bought stuff from fast fashion stores but I also wear them for years. I bought a shirt from Pennies (their version of Target) when I was in Dublin 9 years ago and I finally had to get rid of them last year. So even though it was only €5, that shirt was well worn and well loved. Most of my clothing are like that.

I 100% feel you on the groceries. I travel about 50% of the time for work, and occasionally I like to cook and put the extras in the freezer, but hot bars and trader Joe's frozen meals are really helpful in keeping me from eating out all the time but also not leaving things to rot when I go away.

Re: groceries. Yes to keeping a few frozen and canned things around. Also, even if you’re not a traveler, if you can, don’t stockpile. For example, I have a ton of grocery stores within a small radius from my house. So I have no need to buy a case of green beans. One or two cans at time is totally fine. Enough so that I have what I need to cook dinner on a Tuesday but not for the next 6 months. I’m so much more likely to use what I buy than I was in the past and the lack of clutter in my pantry is so soothing. Now, around skincare, I totally just failed that. I just stress-shopped a Sephora order. 😂

I totally agree with your list! The Stanley cup thing is just nuts to me. Thats coming from someone who “collects” cups. I have rules though. My cups are Starbucks cold cups from Disneyland. So each cup has a memory attached. I only have about 4 and one only cost me $5 and is my main water cup since it’s insulated, 32 ounces, AND has Star Wars characters on it. I also collect Disney mugs from my visits. I use all of these at least once a week, so I’m using them. But the Stanley cups in different colors just to be “trendy” seems so wasteful to me UNLESS you’re someone like me who uses all your cups at least once every couple of weeks. If you just have them just to have them is such a waste of money.

I don't think I've ever responded to any of these things but I do really like and respect her and I do fully agree with her on all of these especially the groceries. It is just me and I do work a lot so I'm rarely even home and I will buy the little salads from the grocery store weather in avocado and tomato and there's my meal. Or a runa packet with Avocado. The avocado helps the tuna be moist so you don't need to add anything else. You can add a healthy bread which I'm not a fan of I don't like bread at all but I have found a dark rye that I'm completely in love with. I think I switched my thought a little bit there but have a wonderful day everyone

I really relate to the hot food bar at the grocery as a happy medium. Kale in the supermarket: intriguing, healthy, versatile, does not spoil *that* fast Kale in my fridge: annoying, bitter tasting, never right for the meal I want, spoiled yesterday OMG HOW? Kale in the salad bar: healthy, high value in vitamins/weight, DELICIOUS OK, so maybe *I'm* the problem, it's me. Not kale. But I'm glad it's not *just* me!

Here’s a financial tip you might appreciate: Skip the elaborate skincare routine and just wear and reapply sunscreen every day. You’ll save so much money on all the goops and lotions and potions and procedures people pay for to address their skin concerns as they get older. Maybe you already know this but I can’t assume because you just listed a bunch of products and none of them are the one product with the greatest, proven, impact on our skin.

It spends on your skin issues. If you have cystic acne - that’s not going to cut it.

@@hannah60000 I mean. My tip assumes there are no medical skin concerns here. But even if you’re treating acne, dermatologists don’t give you a 15-step elaborate skincare routine, generally speaking. They prescribe either oral meds or a topical retinoid (or both). Whatever the case, the main message is that you really don’t need much more than to wash your face daily and wear sunscreen, and *maybe* use a retinoid and/or moisturizer if your particular skin needs it. You don’t have to spend a fortune or invest lot of time in skincare. Toners, essences, eye creams, 2nd-step cleansers, exfoliants, face masks, rollers, patches, and other goops and toys promising whatever are usually unnecessary. And preventing skin damage from the sun is so much more economical than paying for chemical peels, lifts, injections, lasers, etc.

Another thing to stop buying in 2024, stop buying huge desktop PCs. They're $3000 and value deflates quickly. Either get a cheap $300 laptop, or a $500 mini pc from minisforum or geekom. NEVER get a tower PC

Ooooh, so you're about to be let on a little secret. Tower28 is ripping you off big time!! The Simpleaf Clean Multi-Purpose Surface Cleaner is the same product and is significantly cheaper. It's not marketed as a skincare product but the concentration, pH level, and ingredients are identical!

One product is electrolyte and one isn't. You can get a USB dongle for $12 to make it electrolyzed and then it's the same as Tower28.
