hi sir, I have been working as a civil engineer in a small construction company for the last 1 year. before joining the construction sector I was unemoloyed for 6 years after my ug (as i am preparing for UPSC CSE). Is it possible for me to get into b schools after two or three years if i will start planning right now? will it be helpful for me to switch career right now to data science so that I will get into top b schools after 2 or 3 years? I am targetting some european and singaporean b schools along with usa b schools ? please guide me

We're not familiar with that bschool since it doesn't rank among the top 100 globally. All the reputed ones insist on work experience. But you'll find several unranked programs that don't care as much. If you're targeting any of those, make sure you research thoroughly especially on their market value.
Hi Sameer good morning, have gone through ur videos & profile looks interesting then thought it’s good to talk to you for taking decision. Received Harvard admission confirmation for GMP program so would like to take your opinion before proceeding. Which is better Certification program from Harvard or EMBA degree from equivalent top5 universities?
@MBACrystalBall
Жыл бұрын
Depends on what you want to extract from the investment. A certification program can give you the basic knowledge but won't be a game-changer in terms of career pivoting. EMBA gives a regular degree which is better than a certificate. Of course, a full-time degree has the biggest impact. But many can't leave their jobs. Such folks with full time commitments who work with us choose EMBA degrees.

Hi sir, (A) Generally we Indians prefer to work in the following places abroad: 1) US 2) London 3) Singapore 4) UAE Working in these places, many of us have our own personal choices based on non-financial and financial factors. The non-financial factors stay at the top of the list. But having said that, what would be your order of ranking of the countries in the field of management consulting and investment banking /PE&VC considering only financial factors alone. The factors to be considered in making this decision are demand for the job(average salary), cost of living and taxation. I had this doubt because the UAE has zero income tax and VAT is 5%. Thank you

Need-based scholarships are very difficult to come by. Most who work with us get merit based scholarships. It would then get easier to target the right programs where you can get scholarships.

Congrats on the admit. It's among the better known ones in the UK, but not in the same league as the top ranking ones. Which means you won't get the same benefits that you'd get from bschools like LBS, Cambridge, Oxford. Whether you take it up or not would depend on your profile strength, career goals and overall fit with the program. Instead of just relying on the internet, talk to current students to find out the ground realities (ideally you should've done this before applying).
