As a male teacher this brought me to tears. Kids are suppose to go to school and feel comfortable and confident about the people who are meant to educate them. I hope there is change in that country.

I’m halfway through this and it’s horrific. But why aren’t they using the term rape? Why is this news organization using the word sex? It’s not sex. It is not consensual. It’s with children. This is rape. Say the word rape please. Let’s see if anywhere they say the actual word.

@Marcöön Jás Uf Persuaded/manipulated/pressured to give some false sense of 'consent' is still rape. If someone held a gun to your head and forced you to say yes to sex, that's rape. If someone told you that they'd spread your nudes if you didn't have sex with them, that's rape. If someone told you they'd tell everyone your biggest secrets if you didn't have sex with them, that's rape. Same thing. If someone told you they'd lower your grades and hold you back in school, that's rape. Coercion = Rape. Sex with a minor = Rape.

Or he have a fantasy of actually doing it even if he denies it to himself, bec wanting to dominate someone is basically imbedded in our system. Worse case is it's not only his fantasy but actually a molester himself, bec really, why would anyone defend a rapist? If what he said is true regarding the clothing, then there should have been significantly more rape records in beaches than other places, a really huge gap. But no, nowadays you can almost say that beaches is safer than schools or churches.

@Marcöön Jás Uf dear brother I'm a Muslim lady and I cover up not because I'm forced but I chose that my self. Like some girls chose to wear dresses and others chose to wear pants, I chose to cover up ie dress modestly not because I fear being raped, which I believe has nothing to do with your clothing, but because I like it and I feel comfortable that way and I want to stand out and really try to remove the misunderstanding about Muslim ladies.

  • @salmaziva5807

@Marcöön Jás Uf not in all Arab countries but in KSA because it has two of our religious cities, Iraq is majorly Islamic with strict Islamic laws and their people are ok with that. Those who are protesting, which I personally have not heard or seen, are probably the non Muslims who are forced by the government. It doesn't mean that Muslims are forced to do that in fact there are Muslim girls especially in Jerusalem and Palestine who force their family to agree so they can wear burqa. Rape is not related to dress code that much it is related to mentality. The west has rape cases but they don't seem that much because sex before marriage is common, I'm not discriminating but there are those who take advantage of it ie those who play around with girls and it can be the opposite as it is shone in sex and the city films. In the east especially the Muslim countries we consider it a crime with God and morally wrong reason is security of women and preserving their rights by marriage so they don't get exploited. Unfortunately devil attacks every one especially those who try to stay away from crime and bad deeds. Brother don't hate burqas or covering up because Mary used to cover up and we muslims are just following that practice. Hope you understand.

What would happen after school though, that's preventing one thing (to an extent) but women can't just not have men as their superiors their entire life because it'd stop a lot of good things from occouring if the minds of men and women cannot come together, and having segregation like that will only create a sense of "exotic mystery" ( idk how to word that) towards women, so when men and women do come together, things like this are far more likely to happen. Maybe it's a good temporary solution, but it can only make things worse in the long run. I'm not offering a better solution, but I'm saying that can't work. Personally I believe to stop this, officials need to be more vigilant and prosecute more people who do this, and it needs to be made less socially acceptable to jus turn a blind eye. Unfortunately, this would be ridiculously hard to achieve. We can only hope more people will change veiw towards the matter

Kyte Fireflapper You sound like an ABSOLUTE fool. It can be done and it most certainly IS DONE here in the US. The problem is that men in other places continue to do this because there are no consequences. If you faced imprisonment, the loss of a decent way of living and public humiliation, I am sure the rates of this occurring would decrease greatly. Segregated schools will not change anything. Holding people accountable when they break the law will! I am not BITCHING about a damn thing. I'm calling PEDOPHILES out on their bullshit. If you want to FUCK SOMEBODY go fuck your wife or another consenting adult not a child who is in school to learn. You and your IGNORANT mindset are a part of the problem. Another thing: biology has nothing to do with this. Are we talking about animals or GROWN MEN that have been hired to do a job. The reality is that young girls will always be around whether it is a school setting or not.... so what will you say if a young girl is molested in her home by a PEDOPHILE? That she should have slept on the roof to avoid being sexually assaulted? Ha! See how foolish that sounds? These girls have done NOTHING wrong by simply wanting to obtain an education. It is not their fault they are being taught by a WEAK PEDOPHILE who took the JOB to purposefully prey on young girls. Hell, many opportunities in such areas are probably given to men due to it being a male dominated society. So, tell me again how gender segregation will work? You are placing the blame on the wrong person! Look at the male offender! Although this video is shedding light on the young girls that are molested... consider the young boys that are molested by male teachers or other people they trust. What will you say then? See where I am going with this? Again, it has nothing to do with segregating genders in schools but EVERYTHING to do with making these low life, PATHETIC PEDOPHILES be brought to justice. They broke the law and should be in jail. Period.

Kyte Fireflapper Sorry, sweetheart! You are missing the point! TEEN pregnancy in the US HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH YOUNG GIRLS BEING SEXUALLY ASSUALTED AND BLACKMAILED BY A PEDOPHILE masked as a teacher who has been hired to perform a job. In their job descriptions, it doesn't say that they are being hired on to molest the kids. And for the LOVE OF GOD....It is AGAINST THE LAW! You are TRYING but clearly FAILING at trying to BOOTSTRAP TWO UNRELATED ISSUES TOGETHER! The 'western system' (I guess you're referring to me) is not hypocritical! I am TOTALLY aware as a BLACK WOMAN about the injustices still present in the US. HOWEVER, I VIEWED A VIDEO ABOUT YOUNG WOMEN ON THE CONTINENT OF AFRICA being taken advantage of by their teachers who should be teaching them. Of course, these types of changes take time but to say that it is impossible for change to come about would mean that the community of people there, large corporate systems and other countless agents of change can't help. That is not true. It simply is not true. One way, if a certain group is not being treated fairly, to bring about change is 'go in folks pockets'. Meaning, partnerships being cut, public demonstrations and more. It can be done! I also believe that once people KNOW that that the way they have been thinking of things and ACCEPTING certain things is wrong it gives them courage to RISE UP. The parents and the community need to act on this as soon as they hear of this type of treatment and stay on the principals ass until they do something! Kudos to the brave young women coming forward with their stories, the group of female activists and the two ladies for spearheading this movement. With all the forms of media now (Facebook, KZread, the local news etc) change can come. I understand many of the girls may not cellular devices but hell start a petition to remove the teachers and the principals. If Blacks in America, FOR EXAMPLE, simply threw our hands up as we fought for our rights (and are still fighting for systematic equality) then we'd still be on plantation fields! BRINGING ABOUT CHANGE IS HARDWORK. Nothing worth fighting for will ever come easy but it certainly won't change if everyone adopted your ideology: "lost cause". The problem is that the OPPRESSIVE groups want you to feel that way so you don't fight back. You also mentioned something about the girls WANTING to get pregnant by a man with money or affluence (something along those lines)? Again, your viewpoint is distorted. You are blaming the victim. The young women don't seek these male teachers out. It is the other way around because as the teacher interviewed said HE DID NOT FEEL HE'D GET IN TROUBLE FOR HIS CRIME. In that comment lies the ISSUE. There are people who break laws, sexually assault children and feel COMPLETELY insulated doing so. If things were just about 'instinct' then there would not be a reason to have a police department for example... let's just just murder the next person and not be tried because our 'instincts' told us to. 🤷🏾‍♀️ Again, do you see how foolish this sounds? There are systems and laws in place that are meant to protect the common good. Sometimes laws need to be tweaked but people forget that we as people have POWER too. I encourage you, if you have a daughter, niece, aunt... I know you have a mother to think about what you said... about things being a lost cause. Then consider what you'd do if you had learned that they had been sexually assaulted all because they wanted to learn. Would you fight for their attacker to be brought to justice or Would you blame her for what happened and tell her to let it go bc to try to change things would be a lost cause? Good Day!

Kyte Fireflapper 🤦🏾‍♀️🤦🏾‍♀️🤦🏾‍♀️ My simple mind? Darling, I am FAR from simple. I am a college graduate and have taken masters level courses. In addition, I have worked with people in these situations and other forms of abuse and maltreatment! What have you done?!?!?! Nothing but base your opinions on what you are pulling OUT OF YOUR ASS! How in the world can a child consent? It's statutory rape. This horrific practice is AGAINST the law, needs to have shed on it and be changed. That is the bottom line. Honestly, this is where the conversation should end! IT. IS. AGAINST. THE. LAW! There is NOTHING you can say to me that will change my stance. The fact that you seemingly keep defending these PEDOPHILES actions makes me question whether YOU have done this to a young girl. Rape has nothing to do with biological responses! I'm going to get frank here... Everyone may get extremely sexually aroused but not all make the CHOICE to harm someone else to meet their needs! This phenomenon is not something that just 'clicks' in someones mind. It is calculated and done over time so that means that this a disguisting CHOICE that these pedophiles make! It is also about ENFORCING AND MANTAINING SOME FORM OF POWER AND CONTROL! Look at the video! What was the single form of control the teachers used against the girls if they refused to sleep with them? They threatened to make the girls FAIL THE COURSE AND HAVE TO REPEAT! That is what they used to control them and maintain their distorted form of POWER! As far as killing someone... I brought that up to simply ILLUSTRATE a point; which was there are tons of people that may get extremely angry everyday but that doesn't give them a LICENSE to go out killing people thst have angered them! Similarly, men who are so 'sexually frustrated' as you put It do not have a LICENSE to sexually assault anyone because of these 'desires". Don't twist my words. You just don't get it. You really don't! I'm assuming you live in a place that accepts this type of thing, right? Where the men treat women in this way and it is perfectly okay, right? It's 2018! Come on out of the stone age and understand that the way you are thinking is a thing of the past! TO ANYONE ELSE READING THIS: Rise up! Hold people accountable and continue to fight for what you TRULY BELIEVE IN! Whatever it may be! It will not be easy but it will be worth it. You owe it to yourselves and future generations. Excuse my French, but FUCK WHAT NARROW MINDED people have to say about your efforts. The people telling you NOT TO FIGHT BACK do so bc they DONT WANT to give up the ways in which THEY BENEFIT in an unfair system. DO NOT BE AFRAID OF OPPOSITION. CONTINUE TO RING THE ALARM ON THIS AND OTHER FORMS OF maltreatment! Stand up for yourself!

Kyte Fireflapper I was with you up until you said any man can snap at any time. There is a thing called abstinence which many people practice with no problem. People are not animals, and if we act like animals, we should be caged like animals. It's far from impossible for these men to control themselves, but as was stated, incentive is needed. Law and order. Implementation of consequences. Enforcement of the laws that are already in place, ffs. I agree that a lot of people act like morons when it comes to teenagers having sex. I think of lot of the disconnect is due to people being raised differently. Some people think back on their teenage years as being a very innocent time in their lives and could not imagine the idea that a young person would seek out sexual activity. The laws and public perceptions largely reflect this mindset, despite, as you have pointed out, it being completely contrary to reality. That being said, what I think will be impossible to change is the fact that a teacher, or anyone with direct authority over anyone else, is wrong to ever take advantage of those they have authority over. That is called an abuse of power, regardless of whether it is with their consent or not. With authority comes responsibility, the responsibility to resist being compromised, and if someone cannot handle that, they should not be in any position of authority, period (including parents). Allowing yourself to be compromised is called weakness, and weak people in positions of authority are a blight on the world, don't you agree?

Kyte Fireflapper When I said we not animals, what I mean is that we are held to a higher standard. As I said, one who acts like an animal is bound to be treated like one. Your description of a rapist as a lowlife is little more than a stereotype. Clearly you know this since you've already mentioned the phenomenon of successful people who have been found guilty of sexual assault, so why would you even say this? It is a direct contradiction to yourself.... As a man, you cannot really expect me to take pity on another man who cannot control their sexual appetite. To put it bluntly, that's why pornography exist. Use it. If that is not enough and you truly have no ability to control yourself, you need to see a doctor. Seriously. Trust, I know plenty of guys who have gotten themselves tangled in wild scenarios for no other reason than an inability to say no to a toxic woman, or an inability to control a wandering eye. I know the struggle is real, and these shortcomings that some men have explain a lot of their troubles, but there is *one thing they cannot explain or excuse, and that is abuse of any sort.* That is "the line" you don't cross. Taboo. You shall not pass. Implying that a guy who gets rejected enough times will be mentally damaged is hardly believable, and an insult to people who are truly mentally damaged, such as those who suffer from PTSD due to experience as victims of abuse. Being miserable doesn't give you a licence to cause misery to others. This is something people should learn in grade school, not as adults. That said, I think I may actually know what sort of man you are describing. There's a word for people who pass their misery on to others in return for a temporary boost to their personal morale - Bullies. What you described is a textbook example of schoolyard-bully behaviour. Lashing out at others in desperation, yearning for acknowledgement, and craving personal connection so badly that they force others to "play" with them; To interact, even against their wishes. Bullies are broken people who need help, guidance, and reform. There is nothing justifiable about their behaviour. There is nothing to defend.

I remember a incident in my area where a teacher was caught showing two or one girl pornography after school, that teacher got away that day cause that time there was less people in school and you know how school always wants to protect their reputation so probably they let him go that day, but the next day when all the teachers went inside the school many students and their parents blocked the entrance of the school not letting anyone go outside until that guy was handed over, that school is mix school (Female and male both read there and ironically it was one of famous/prestigious school in my city.) all the school staffs including that teacher locked themselves in the teachers room so they don't not get hurt by the crowd, that time all the male students were literally trying to break the door to get that teacher, at last police came and arrested that teacher before it got anymore violent. Teachers are supposed to be a child's 4th parent (after father, mother and elder sibling) but these type of evil people ruin the name of teachers, I wish this type of disgusting people get tortured to death.

Whether you are able to take the final exam or not does not determine whether you are currently failing. All students are eligible to take the final exam, it doesn't mean they are passing. It may mean they need to achieve a much higher grade on the final than normal just to pass for the semester. I remember in University some students needed to almost get a perfect score on the final otherwise they would fail the entire course. That is because they were failing all the way up til the final. I remember when I was in middle School, I was harassed by my math teacher who pressured and made obvious comments like (he would like to get me pregnant) he would touch me inappropriately and I couldn't speak or tell anyone because no one will believe me. Even the school director wouldn't believe me. I was also scared to tell anyone because the teacher has connection with other teachers in the city. He could've messed up with my education if I'd denounced him. It was almost the end of the school year. So I did all I can to pass all my exam to escape this hellhole.

Forcing students to have sex it is very wrong and i do not approve, but one thing that wasnt said is that *some girls who dont study intetionally they voluntary offer themselfs for the teachers, I Said this because I know many cases, as I said: they dont study because they dont want, trusting the teacher.*

Why on earth would a teacher, the second parent to their learners, do such a thing? I'm, as I submit this comment, in my mid-year in the Faculty of Education, training to become a teacher which has been my dream profession, and I swear to GOD, if I ever come across a teacher who engages students male or female into intimate relationships, they will see my wrath even before reporting them to the personnel in charge, because I am also a parent to the kid they're trying to exploit! But on a second thought, some ill-mannered female students who don't take their books seriously might play victim and try to get rid of a teacher or add grades by plotting a fictitious incident in-line with the disgusting topic presented in the documentary! I can lose my job, but can't withstand injustice of any sort! I am also in the view that, people who commit such atrocities shouldn't be addressed as "teachers"!

I find it almost humorous that the only form of "protection" girls are taught is to wear longer skirts. If a lack of evidence is the problem then why not teach them to collect it, why not make the school's leadership group more approachable to talk to. Here's why, because the reality is those capable of truly making change don't want change, because they're benefiting from the atrocity themselves.

I'm from Algeria, I used to know a girl from muzambik, her name was Eddey, she is a student here in my country. Actually, she was very very beautiful and much more here mentality, Eddey represented her country as it needs; she has a strict personality and I like it. Thanks to her I know a lot about muzambik. Eddey disappeared in a moment last year and I don't know were is she now. Her phone is always out of service and I could not find her in this crowded city in which I live in...all love to EDDEY and MIZAMBIK from ME and ALGERIA.

All the men in these comments saying the equivalent of "NoT aLl mEn." Need to take full hard stop, it's enough men where it's a problem and that's what we should be focusing on. Instead of focusing all your energy on separating yourself from those men, actually help bring those men to justice. Edit: please stop replying it's been a year, and everyone just has the same argument. My comment TLDR; FOCUS ON THE PROBLEM OF SEXUAL ASSAULT RATHER THAN THE SEMANTICS. ITS NOT MEN V WOMEN, ITS US V PREDATORS.

Yes because all men are equally responsible, maybe take this up with that one man who represents our whole gender. If we could get all men to agree and act on one situation we would have attained world peace by now.

It's about time something was done ....... This is an absolute disgrace and should never happen to these anymore young females ....... I hope the molesters suffer severe consequences because they are perverts and need to be suffer the heavy punishment they deserve❗️❗️❗️*

Is there a fund for scholarship for Maria, maybe to a different, better school, and for her higher education? Something tangible to encourage her to continue her studies and continue standing up for herself and refusing to give in to something she shouldn't have to deal with, but does. Something that encourages her that her goals and dreams are possible, and that continued hard work and perseverance won't be in vain, by making them financially attainable for her. Such a strong young lady to stand up for herself and say no, especially in the face of threats to purposely and unfairly fail her and derail and destroy her education! Plus, the amount of courage it must have taken to not only say no, but to report it in spite of the threats the grown ass male teacher made to silence and coerce her, and to share her story, even with her face being blurred, is pretty incredible, admirable and takes inner strength and determination to fight for herself! For her to have the goal to study hard and reach University to become a journalist, not giving in to a teacher's demands for sex or he will fail her, and her environment where many girls drop out and get pregnant or married young, is inspiring, and I am hopeful for her future, for her to continue her studies and work hard in school, and also have opportunities available to her to make her educational goals and dreams attainable! I'd donate to an educational fund for her!

This is so sad and so enfuriating. I can't believe that there are so many young girls who quit school because of that and are ''forced'' to not make their dreams of a better life come true. And to think that this is happening in so many countries in Africa...

Instead of hiding the victims identities, they should be revealing the perpetrators identities, make them known, this whole hide and seek game isn't helping anyone, not the perpetrators and CERTAINLY not the victims. That guy who admitted to sexually molesting a minor should've been arrested! Wtf? That was a confession right there! He openly honestly admitted it to the interviewing journalist! Had he been taken to court and said the same thing in front of a judge and jurors? With his victims present? He would've been jailed and fired from his job. It doesn't pay to drop out of school, rapists are everywhere, not just in the schools, they could attack females anywhere, does that mean that they (the women) stop going to the market? Stop going to the lake to do their laundry? No! That's letting the rapists win! My sister told me that the government of India passed a bill that allowed any girl who was raped to kill her attacker! I think that a man who takes the virginity of a girl, takes her livelihood and her honour and should be killed for it to show other potential rapists out there that the government means business, none of this rehabilitation for rapists! They have stolen the integrity of a female and she'll always known that she's been raped. It's unacceptable. One good way is to expose the rapist to the public and let it be known that rapists will NOT be pardoned.
