In this case staying years in jail for stealing is just.

I'm pretty sure there are certain rules and ethics about helping people when you are filming a documentary. It's like that picture of the vulture and a child, where the photographer was actually not allowed to help him. The best they could really do was help their family find out, give them a lift and raise awareness online

We found out that Saholy still is in prison in Antsirabe. She got a lawyer via Amnesty International and her case will be in court 13 june 2019. Her lawyer told us that she will be liberated soon after. We got in contact with her and her parents and help them with their busfees (6 hours single trip) and meals for Saholy in prison. Since winter is coming we also gave her blankets and warm clothes. We are happy that she will be free in short time, but it doesn't change anything for the thousands of people that are without proces in the prisons of Madagascar. So please sign the petition of Amnesty International mentioned above to ask the Malagasy Government to change this pre-trial-detention law. Thank you!

Yes some will love with a heart and some will love with ulterior motive, but these parents are telling us that money can't buy love, even when they don't have the money the father still refuse to begged for his daughter salary, I personally salute them it's only sad that we can't help the way we would love to, cause ppl are in dyer need and some still be dishonest

Sometimes the bond you make with people outside of your family are more stronger than the ones u make with blood relatives.people say "blood is thicker than water" but when im thirsty and need something i cant drink blood.

I cried watching this and tried to hide my tears from my son. This is so wrong in so many levels. I wish they have a donation page for these girls, I would gladly donate to get them lawyers ☹️

Doubt their lawyers would help. This isn’t America. Idk why people struggle to understand that our legal system is not perfect but it’s very unique. @Titus Robertson It is not quite as bad as here, but we do have an underclass that gets mistreated just like this. We have a revolving door in our prisons too...and the same people go round and round in it like a turnstile. :(

@Crystal johnson Hi Chrystal! I am from the US. I meant to say that our jails are filled typically with poorer citizens and we have a high recidivism rate. Even people with minor infractions, such as traffic tickets or small fines are starting to fill up local jails. So, it is not as bad as this...but I think we are moving on that direction unfortunately. :(

The good lady doctor has done this before,such a despicable human being. fancy quibbling over 25 quid for a minimum of 320 hours per month.roughly $10 us per week $1.25 per day.thats for minimum 8 hours but i suspect dshe is a slave not a maid.

To see that mother's joy turn to sorrow so quickly when she first met the ladies, heartbreaking.

My heart breaks for that poor girl, look how young, how scared, confused, withdrawn she is. A child having to endure this is horrific. I really hope that she and her family are back together, and she is free to be the person she is meant to be.

Contact the United Nations and UNICEF for all the children that are incarcerated even those who committed murder. A child that kills needs the attention of a psychologist. And is most likely a child who is not properly taken care of for not having the basic needs of life.

Wow, so the guards are breaking the law so that the girls who did not break the law can get out of prison - either that or the girls who did not break the law are in prison for 5 or more YEARS! People here in the U.S. have NO IDEA how good they have it!
