I wonder if he feels that doing well in strongman is his method to platform Ukraine and their plight on the world stage. Might put a lot of pressure on him. Try to push harder than his body can handle and start to break down some. That might be what we are seeing. I hope not, but there were comments in 22/23 about the number of competitions he was at.

From a spectator point of view, I prefer stones over hitching posts because athletes just transition from stone to stone, rather than standing there for a moment hoping the stone doesn't roll back off. But I can see why they don't do it; the stones are going to have to fall and roll somewhere, and it's not easy setting something up in an arena where the stones won't just slam into each other or roll off somewhere and endanger people.

Really not that hard to do and I agree stone landing on floor instead of hands off is easier to get exact timings and a better angle to see who wins.

34:33 the Stone lifting should be like they did in the Svend Karlsen Atlas Stone series. Just throw it on and people on the opposite side stops it. They did it in the Viking Power challenge in 2008 and 06-09 NSM (Norgers Sterkeste Mann = Norway's Strongest Man)

I hope Constantine is OK. I spoke to him after and he said he had no feeling in the heel of his hand and he had felt like something went crack in there. He said they were taking him to get checked out. He still stuck around and met everyone at the meet and greet first though.

Lucas Hatton, Tristain Hoath & Ondŕej Fojtú all deserve invites. They need to see how Australia's Strongest Man pans out, before assigning the 4th spot. If Josh Patacca, Jordan Osborne or Coco can win a 2nd title, they might be in the mix. Or BJ Stone, who was r/u to Ragg in Jan.

I think that if Luke could transition much faster in the deadlift ladder, the rest of the competition might have been a little easier on him.

can't complain about who does not turn up to WSM, its a silly complaint, no matter who turns up to any comp, injury niggles, event mistakes, and any unforeseen multipipe issues that may occur, if the guy you want to win does not compete or win, you cannot say they would have won only if?. or the winner only won ''only because''.

On the lower weights of the deadlift ladder I'd like to see more competitors go without straps for faster speeds.

Novikov should drop out of world's this year that arm is no good for the short term at least. It was bad at Arnold's and still bad. Might as well rest it and give someone healthy a shot.
