Theres also another strategy that nobody knows and that is if you build a diagonal decently long wall as close as possible to snake and put a huge tower at the end and place 3 hunters touching the wall, sooner or later your hunters will get tired of getting stomped by the snake's balistas and will focus on his troops and when that happens its bye bye resistance.. saves you the resources for mass producing catapults and flailers

@@nocomment6421 Im afraid youll have to wait.... for now im focusing on escape from tarkov and digimon survive. Once im through with both these games and i record my material for youtube, bro ill gladly play more stronghold and try to pull this strategy for all to see, because i aint no bitch. Its not guaranteed to work instantly through and by that i mean it can take some time, but hey, if i pull it off which i WILL then i pulled it off.

I usually take my time with this stage because of how fun it is, we don't usually get much missions like this unlike in Crusaders, we do, but still, love the content bro

Oh dont worry, after recording this speedrun video i reloaded the stage and killed snake with just lumberjacks, hunters and my lord lol. Anyway... new glitch/bug video after i finish work and gym today (if i dont forget to hit upload...) and sooner or later ill have a new stronghold and/or pokemon video within 2 weeks.. maybe

You can build single piece of wall between trees south from where you've build tower. I then usually dismantle and sell EVERYTHING (stone forts in Your area are very valuable), then buy few good mood items for 25% bonus, and go full macemen.

A one-way trip, but they got the job done.

I did not even use tower, found spot where wall was just about same height as terrain :)

so as long as you castrate him from behind, thats all it matters, unless youre feeling daring and wanna kill him with just hunters and lumberjacks. yeah its doable and it took me 3 whole days (72 hours) to do

Theoretically it works on EVERY difficulty... just amass a few extra troops and castrate that slithering ale drinking twofaced cunt OR be a complete masochist (like me) and kill him with nothing, but hunters

Its literally the original stronghold (2001). If you have steam, search stronghold HD and youll see it for 3.99. Wait a bit and it will drop to 0.99 during steam summer sales.

@@user-sv4rw6ep1y Theres Stronghold 2001, Stronghold DX 2002, Stronghold HD 2012, Stronghold Crusader 2002, Stronghold Crusader Warchest 2002 (standalone expansion, but it was barely released to the public with an extremely limited number of physical copies coming out meaning only a small fraction of people saw or heard it existed), Stronghold Crusader Extreme (expansion that has the warchest expansion in it too) and finally Stronghold Crusader HD 2012. IF you have Stronghold 2001 and/or Stronghold HD 2012 (never played DX so i dont know if they are similar or not), at the main menu tap the two swords on the far left which is singleplayer. Now tap the sword thats been planted on the brown tile which is also on the far left and it will take you to the main campaign which ingame is called military campaign. The said mission im playing is called Snake Eyes and its the 13th if i remember correctly. Hope this helps. If not, tell me and ill make a youtube short for EVERYONE to see, because bruh ive been asked "what stronghold are you playing" and "what map/seed is this?" probably like 20 times lol.

I recruited all the archers i could recruit and took all my men close to snake (except the crossbowers). I then built a tower as close as the game allowed me as possible to the mountain and used stone walls to surround the tower AND i build 1-2 more stone walls above the mountain to CONNECT them. I then built some stairs, moused my men and sent them to castrate the snake with their butter knives.

focus on recruiting crossbowmen (overall forget about melee units for your defense) and build up a strong economy. (spam woodcutters in the early game so you can build as many buildings as you want, eventually buy some wood in the beginning. focus on bread production if possible and start weapon production early. use all possible ressources (stone and iron) when you can sell them. all this will require LOTS of wood. thats why you need so many woodcutters so early. seriously build ten or more of them and you can build up an economy that makes the game so easy. of course you have to balance your economy, do some micromanagement here and there, but that just needs some practice. if you do this, you can beat all missions without problems. on very hard if you do it well. in this mission: build all the iron mines as fast as possible (which means in the very beginning). build some more woodcutters and then the other economy. eventually buy weapons to recruite crossowmen before the first attack. gold will come in and then start recruiting your attack force.

What ? Buildings didnt collapse? I didnt know that.. I only play Crusader version

In crusader all collapsing and/or dying actually makes sense if you think about it. If you are dead, then your men will scatter away in search of shelter or literally joinning the other lords as peasants which you can then rehire them to fight for you. Afterall you pay them just as you pay your soldiers to add them which is their salary. Afterall service is still a job. A good example of this was the scottish highlanders in 1745 who ended up scattering in all of europe and america and becoming mercenaries/guns for hire, outlaws or actual soldiers of other countries. If you are dead, then those who pwn you WILL destroy your castle and take all your shit. "Spoils of war" and "Pillage and plunder" if you will, but in the original stronghold you literally capture the enemy's castle when you kill them.

i didnt give 2 shits about very hard, but it may be done.. if not, then we can always grind for a few more recruits while barerly surviving the pig's unlimited army of archers and flailers (yes i said it) and when we amass enough troops, we kill snake.. i also love how the majority of the people who beat this mission, create like 20+ catapults, because they hate being bullied by those 2 balistas lol when theres clearly a much smarter way..

If you build 2 long layers of walls as close possible to snake's castle and at the end, place the tallest tower you can build and then build like 5 hunters behind the walls, EVENTUALLY the hunters will focus on the balistas, sentries (archers) and flailers. I dont know HOW the hunters have longer attack range than balistas, but they do and its one of the reasons why they were removed in the crusader version, because they are bullshitly annoying and op lol

A cheatin mod that there is. Intended game never allows you to cross over that far north to get in. Cliffs don't allow it.

Been doing this trick since 2005 so i dont know what cheats youre talking about UNLESS if you are using a version thats completely different from mine which is highly unlikely OR youve accidentally/intentionally mistaken Stronghold HD for Stronghold Crusaders HD.

Every campaign lord that is killable: you, snake, pig and wolf have their own unique pain orgasm when they die. Like as if our king dying and moaning OOOOOOOOOH makes any sense, but pig's death sound is even weirder. Last time i checked which was years ago, he sounded like a cross between a hog and a donkey about to bust the heaviest nut lol

@@Brajxdv or stronghold crusader extreme lol. They do have noticable differences.The biggest difference is the hunters. They are banned/removed in crusaders due to them being stupidly unbalanced being able to outrange balistas, have slightly less hp than spearmen (except for arrows/bolts. Peasants and laborers are always oneshot) but not enough physical attack to decimate an archer or spearman like lumberjacks. In the beta version of stronghold, 2 lumberjacks were beyond enough to kill an archer or spearman and 3 to kill a crossbower. No wonder their sprites are so fucking ripped and they flex like theres no tomorrow when theres no trees to chop or when they chillax near positive morale boosters lol they are the equivalent of conan the cimmerian (1988) for the ms dos
