The soldering iron was already broken and with this he make it work with 12v DC, don't get me wrong, the "repair" was not good at all, but making an 12v DC Iron that heats up so fast can make a very convenient tool for a mechanic... soldering wires in a car directly from the battery or any live wire even. I think there's something here

very good trick, just one catch. You failed when painting the red, it always lightens the paint and doesn't cover well. The trick is to paint a little white on top of the black patch and then red and it will look perfect. It works for yellow orange etc. greetings

There sure are a lot of mean, hateful people who take the time to watch videos just so they can try to tear someone down. You know... you don't HAVE to watch this type video. This was my first time seeing this person's channel. While I know some and can think of other ways of repairing plastics and other materials, this video gave me some good ideas. I'm not too sure I'll be taking batteries apart but I'm pretty sure I'll be converting an old soldering as he did here. Instead of tearing someone down... learn from what they do and apply any little part or all to a project. If you've never repaired anything I encourage everyone to learn to fix something... anything. It will give you a great sense of accomplishment. Sure, you can spend the money to just buy new... IF a new part is available or even used if available... but that spends your money that could be used for something plus it robs you of that satisfaction in knowing you were able to actually repair your item. This doesn't just apply to broken things like this. Learn to fix a toaster, a lamp, anything... rather than paying someone to do it or buying a new one. Many things are very simple to repair. Build others up rather than try to destroy them. You'll be a better person for it. NOTE: With all that said, there ARE some people and videos on KZread that should be called out for encouraging extremely dangerous things.

Glowplug hack was pretty smooth. Melting in the metal wire backing is nice. For rigid plastics I've always just put duct tape on one side of the hole and then used body filler to fill it level. After curing I just sand it and then use body filler or glazing compound to fill any imperfections left. A coat of white and then your color and you're done.

Super glue, talcum powder and cotton wool balls does exactly the same thing. Talcum powder gives a smooth outer finish. Cotton wool gives solid foundation behind it. All bonded by the super glue.

Shoulda did a few coats of primer, then you won't see the repair as much. It bled through but... Idk if playing with batteries is good idea man

My channel is all about health and longevity. Taking apart batteries is not safe to do, especially without wearing gloves. Baking soda will work just as well and is safe.
