It's super easy on a hitbox with the dash shortcut. You just hold forward and parry together and then tap back.

good video left a like n shared 😊 Edit i i was trying to do combo trials and trying to figure out how to do OD moves for the combo trals 7 i got it you need to hold down two inputs rather than 1 ie normal shuruyuken just light medium of heavy after right down forward downright.. OD shuyken is usual input put instead of just medium kick at the end you input say medium and heavy ie triangle for medium punch and r1 for heavy punch on ps5

FADC in SF4 was much harder but a lot of people had that down. You can do it with a lot of practice. You got this!

Do drills, like 3 of every drive rush into one of the buttons a few times until the reflex becomes natural to you

yeah my rant: i need more mobility on my right thumb to pull off quick double flicks. much easier on an arcade stick with fingers or my left thumb but... I'm not ambidextrous

For drive rush on hit, all you have to do is press your normal (cancelable) and forward > forward (dash) and it'll come out. It's not necessary to press the mp+mk. But not the case for a special > drive rush where you have to press mk+mp then forward > forward.

Maybe it’s Cus I’m old or I’m playing on ps5 controller but I can’t seem to ever get a combo started and get drive rush to come out to continue the combo I’m also old so that doesn’t help

I assigned the drive rush or parry button to my L2 Button, I recommend u do that it makes it much easier

Or just forward, forward + mp/mk

@Trucked the way I described works for me consistently in neutral. During combos I find that holding mp/mk during recovery frames and dashing works better.

​@@patricklorran1960 during combos you buffer by holding down mpmk. Holding down parry then -> -> is easier to do, but it's slower, this is why am practicing this.

thanks for this I'll have to go try it out. I'm still scratching my head as to why it would work. Do you know the technical reason as to why and how it works? I hope it doesn't get patched out.

The technical explaination for this is because the way directional controls work in streetfighter in general even before SF6. Directional inputs are "sticky". I.e. when you press them, they still remain active for a couple of more frames before the input processor forgets them. Without this, motion controls wouldn't even work. That small delay in frame is the processor waiting for a follow up button to complete the command and identify what you are trying to do. Think about how the processor is able to read 360 inputs. It has to wait for a couple more frames to read a complete 360 else nothing will work. Hope this helps.
