Street Fighter 6 Parry Explained! Easy Tips On How To Use

Ойындар

This guide covers the basics of the parry system in Street Fighter 6. We go over a whole bunch of gameplay scenarios where parry might be even more useful than blocking. Most players know that it's weak to throws, but there are actual situations where you can still tech. A lot of mix-ups can be negated by parry, which restores your drive meter as an extra bonus. Performing a perfect parry is, of course, a lot flashier, but I think more players need to use the basic parry as well.

a small tip on the parrying supers topic, parrying anything makes the recovery change from parry recovery to the recovery of whatever you parried. It means if you parry a move that causes you to recover as if you blocked it. TL DR: A succesful parry is just a block plus the benefits of a parry such as drive meter recovery and push back reduction.

Here's how I've started thinking about parry in match: Consider the damage you take from a punish counter throw. Now...how much damage are you likely to take if you guess wrong on this next mixup? If it's likely to be more if you get hit, then bet on parry. This means I tend to parry more later in rounds when bigger supers are on deck. It does make people second guess their offense too.
